Poll: Calm Down Fanboys

Everyone seems to be complaining about how the alternate, evil Starkiller DLC for both Force Unleashed games ruins their childhood memories because you can screw with the canon of the original trilogy. All I have to say is that a) It's considered non-canon, what if stories, so calm down Chewie ain't dead...wait nevermind, b) it's a game, not another movie, it's meant for fun, and c) you probably are the same people who say that George Lucas is an money grubber, even though he hasn't been involved in most of the Star Wars universe since Episode III, and yet you love the original trilogy to death.

Sorry for the rant, but what do you think about the DLC for both games. Also about people who complain about this sort of stuff in general?

It doesn't really bother me at all, I like what if scenarios. I'm just pissed they made TFU2 instead of Battlefront 3

this sums up exactly how i feel. i can't WAIT till the day (even if im fucking 80 years old when it comes out) that battlefront 3 comes out, i'll be there a week before its release standing in line for it if needed

I don't care enough about Star Wars to really care for it and why would we complain about that sort of stuff. In Lord of the Rings Conquest, you got an entire campaign of you just fucking up the entire story and it ends with you setting Treebeard ablaze and killing Gandalf. You even get an achievement for picking up and tossing Gimli around as a Balrog (And the Achievement was titled "Never Toss a Dwarf" and I shit you not, I laughed for a good 5 minutes after I unlocked it.). No one complained about this, in fact most people claimed the evil campaign was the superior one. In short, I've played enough video-games were you just need to accept that the source material and the game are never made to be taken together and its kinda silly to do such a thing. Then again, some people can't really let this stuff from their childhood go.

I always liked what-if stories, like the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann manga that was set in high school, or the extra day in "the world ends with you" that feels like a parody of pokemon and other collection-based RPGs (strangely the extra day is technically cannon due to a weird dimensional skip)
