I've got an army Vs RAF camp coming up soon (11/2/11) and I was wondering if I should take my digital camera with me to record some things to show friends and family (my basher (like a tent), me with cam-cream and a rifle (SA80) and possibly a video of our camp when I'm on patrol).

Back to the point: My mum says yes, my dad says no, my friends are conflicted and I don't know. DO you guys think I should take it or not?

NOTE: It is relatively old, MINE not my parents, will be in a case in my bergan until we have set up camp in the evening, and will only be used by me.

BTW: I'm with the Rifles (army).

It sounds like you want to film military things.(sorry I don't understand some of the lingo)
If you are filming army stuff, make sure to ask a commanding officer if it is acceptable. If you were to film, and you were not supposed to then bad bad things would be in store, if a secruity risk was suspected.

Memories are better than not memories.
Maybe if you get one of these babies you could convince some people.

Okay, thanks guys. I'm taking the camera, and if my NCO's got a problem with it then I'll keep it hidden until I'm on watch at night.
