I was going through the new team for Mass Effect 2 and I swear that the only person you can't get together with is the new Krogan. But it seems that Bioware likes Shepard to take the James T Kirk approach to aliens.

You don't know BioWare very well, do you? That's definitely in keeping with their 'House' sense of humor.
People wanted to know about the romance options so they gave them everything they could want and then some just to mess with their heads and to turn their expectations side-long, upside down and backward. Now, that sounded like and awkward romantic metaphor!
