Poll: Canadian Internet gone wrong

Did you hear? All Cable / Internet Companies will be allowed to charge for internet usage. From what I can tell from Telus' letter is that their Pushing for June of this 2011..... Go figure....

It was bad enough that we had a cap on usage but now we are going to be charged for what we use even though we pay a fair amount just to have access to internet.

Canada already has some of the highest internet usage charges in the modern world, and asking to charge $1.50 per gigabyte of download overage is just greedy, espescially when it is known that to transmit 1 Gig of information costs the company less than one cent If I remember right...

It's what you get for being Canadian and living in America's hat! (Sorry I just came from 4chan) Just think of it as payback for all the awesome things you have (health care, maple syrup, not reviled by most of the world, etc.)

But in all seriousness I love Canada a big huggy buggy bunch, except when my hockey team plays yours.

This reminds me of an article I read on Cracked that talks about AT&T doing something similar, so at least you won't suffer alone if these go through. Hopefully this ridiculousness won't actually happen though.
