Assume your in a stituation where you'd never get caught, such as a deserted island, adrift at sea, Philadelphia, etc. Would you?

I myself would, and not so much as a last resort as if there was nothing better to eat. I honestly see nothing wrong with it. In fact, if I cared much for morals, I'd rather eat a person than a cow, because at least the cow is innocent.

Never tasted human though, so I don't know if it'd nescesarily be better.

If I needed food and the only food source available was my fellow man, then I'd kill him if I had to. And then I'd eat his brains.

Only for survival.

Why would you ever eat a human if there where much better sources of nutrition available?

I don't know...as far as I know, if you were ever that desperate, you could always cut off a limb? I mean, survival is above all other concerns, so, if you had to lose a foot or a leg, I'd do it.

The problem is though, it would get pretty messy if you didn't have something to cut with...then, it's teeth all the way, and even then, there's a risk of infection or death simply by bloodloss. However, both are still preferable to slow death and, even more so than eating someone else.

If I had to survive I would of course, you gotta do what you got to do. Human meat is suppose to be horrible though, all the shit we put in our bodys. It would either have not enough meat, have meat full of toxins, or have way too much fat. Id go for a vegan or vegitarian or something, just because the quality of the meat would be alot better.

Well if they die before me maybe, maybe. Survival is kinda important, but not if I need to kill other people, why do I have more right to live than anybody else?

Am I the only person here who would rather die than feed on the flesh of another human being?

If there was no other palatable vegetation or animal matter that could be consumed at all, I probably would to just survive a little longer.

Chances are if you have to eat a human, you aren't going to live much longer anyway.

I pick no.

Funny I've been thinking about cannibalism. It really is just I want to know what human tastes like. I also want to know what bald eagle and kangaroo tastes like.

we read a lame story of survival in english class and we brought up cannibalism, the teacher made a very general question of is cannibalism right, she does this and every time i make a huge class argument over my oppinion, the best was should people marry for love or money, as the chorus for "love" rang out i said money, gave my logical point of view, and the rest of the class just insulted me because i did not conform to the ideology of their hallmark cards. But here is the kicker, i was able to give logical and economical reasons why people should marry for money, but no one could think of a reason why to marry for love. I did the same thing for cannibalism, basicly ripped off A Decent Proposal, the whole ireland potato famine and how we should eat the new borns that so many women had too many of.

I don't consider self-mutilation to be above murdering someone else to survive.
I think I would rather live with a death on my "conscience" than with one leg.

As you may have gathered, yes, I would kill and eat someone if I were starving to death and there were no readily available sources of meat nearby.

Might makes right?

Probably, yes.
Seriously though? You'd take someone else's life over your own foot or a leg? I mean...it's grisly, but, it means both of you get to survive all that much longer. And I mean this as a first resort. Full body cannibalism as the last resort. Reason being, humans can survive mmm, maybe a week or two without food, so, a foot for example could keep you for a bit longer. But eventually, without any other food, you'd end up eating your own limbs anyway wouldn't you? So, why not start with the foot? Why kill the other guy first having his carcass rotting and giving you food poisoning? There's quite a bit of meat on a person after all.

Don't start big, start small and work up. Yes, I personally would rather have to get a prosthetic than kill someone the first chance I got...or having myself killed.

I hope you realize that by self canabalizing your odds at survival would be grim. You 1) Need the actual tools to lop off a limb otherwise if you're doing it with stones and whatever else you're gonna have a brutal/ excruciating painful experience doing it. And have fun not going into shock.
2)The odds of bleeding out, getting an infection etc = your death.
3) Recovering from the trauma of loping off a limb such as a leg will probably cost you a high amount of resources which probably won't be replenished by eating your own limb.
4) Considering you're sharing it with another person it isn't going to last long, and since one person has to go get water or w/e the odds are you're going to keep having to lop off limbs while the other person isn't so you're basically a refrigerator for them.
