I'm honestly curious, what do we care about Capcom now? I have just lost all my faith in them, and I have been a fan since a picked up Megaman when I was around 4 or 5(my first Megaman game was Megaman 8, my knowledge of Megaman before that was the cartoon on ABC Family). What else does Capcom have now: A sucky zombie shooting game that you can't return, another Devil May Cry (never liked liked DMC, curious about DmC by Ninja Theory but am still not buying it in protest), and more fighting games. Just post what you think of Capcom and tell me if they can redeem themselves and how. Honestly they've been making one bad choice after another. And now with the cancellation of Megaman Legends 3, a cult classic spin off of the Megaman series, Capcom just pretty much flipped off there arguably largest and undoubtedly oldest fanbase. Let me ask you this, when you think of Megaman or are playing Megaman, do you ever have a bad time or get bored? If no, you're normal, if yes you're probably someone that doesn't like side scrolling shooters. I'm not buying anymore Capcom games until I hear Megaman Legends 3 is back on, I'm also gonna do as Extra Creditz say and write to Capcom asking 'em to restart it. You may say,"Dude, that's so wussy," what can I do other than try and use my words? Let's see if the pen's mightier than the swords.

I honestly dont think about them that much, they've slipped out of the spotlight. If they bring out a particulary good game it'd garner them some respect, but as of now they haven't really done anything recently to deserve it.

I have no loyalties or grudges against developers, I just go by each game. I appreciate it when someone makes a game that I like, but that doesn't mean I expect anything out of them in the future.

So yeah, I love old Megaman, RE4, and Oracle of Ages (which no one seems to remember), but I have no opinion on Capcom's current state.

Some of their recent games haven't been that bad; I'm still a major fan of Ace Attorney, and some of their other games have been pretty cool.

Capcom saddens me. They had so much going for them, and now...well...They seem more intent on pissing off fans than anything.

Whatever. If that's the way they want to play, then that's their call. But it really does suck for those who really love Capcom.

Weren't there only like 4 Ace Attorney games in the US and Japan has like the last 2? Still, Capcom is pissing people off left and right and it's gonna bite 'em in the butt sooner or later, with no new Megaman game on the horizon my guess is sooner.

The thing is, Capcom has great devs, but the guys pushing around those devs seem to have become allergic to money.

The thing they should do is give a looney like me a little control over the Megaman franchise.

I love them for producing Devil May Cry 1 through 4 (2 sucked compared to the others but was fairly decent compared to most action games outside the series). The original is my favorite game of all time, and its protagonist is my favorite character in gaming.

I love them for making Street Fighter III: Third Strike, the 2D fighting game that got me into 2D fighting games.

I love them for making a fighting game for the Wii that justifies plugging that sumbitch up to the TV.

I love them for Resident Evil 4. Hell, I even liked 5.

I love them for Street Fighter IV's gameplay.

This is where my love ends.

I hate that Street Fighter IV's story aspects were ridiculously weak by even fighting game standards.

I hate that Super Street Fighter IV took away all the modes that made the original version fun to play even if you didn't have an online connection.

I hate that Marvel vs Capcom 3 was such a stripped-down experience in spite of what the company had promised it to be, and I hate that they thought bringing back Sentinel would be a good idea.

And I especially hate what they're doing with Devil May Cry now.

If they release a quality product, I'll buy, but I'll be damned if I'm ever stupid enough to preorder something from them again.

I still love Capcom. Aways have, always will. Capcom games have always had a silly, yet perfecty challenging theme to them. Thing with Capcom is, they have their "other games" like Lost Planet, Dark Void, etc. And then they have THEIR games, Resident Evil, Dead Rising, Mega Man, Street Fighter, Capcom Vs., Monster Hunter, and a few more.

The #1 main reason, if not the only reason, Mega Man Legends 3 is canceed is the departure of Kenji Inafune. He is the Mega Man fanchise, he was also the driving force behind Dead Rising. To Make a Mega Man game without Inafune, well, you get Mega Man X6.. And, we al know how that turns out.

You obviously never played the 1990 Mega Man PC game. It was not good.

Also, I like Street Fighter more than Mega Man, so they haven't lost my love yet.

Actually on the community board they said the cancellation was not because of Inafune's departure, though that could just be smoke and mirrors to distract fans from how big a piece Inafune was to the structure of Capcom and how without him him they will collapse. I always saw Capcom as one of the few Corporations that cared about it's fanbase, that acknowledged us and gave us good games and not crap. now they've become like every other game publisher, a soulless machine that see it's consumers as sacks of flesh that crap money instead of humans. I was never really sure about this, but no new Megaman game confirms it.

They can release that PoS Merc, but not MML3?

Blow me Capcom.

They already pissed me off with the closing of Clover (whatever happened to my Viewtiful Joe 3?) and now this?

Uck...

Capcom, Capcom, Capcom. What happened, we had a real good relationship going on. I'm blindly loyal to Resident Evil and Ace Attorney... then you go right out and announce that Investigations 2 won't be localised?

I don't know if Yahtzee's quote applies anymore...

Not really. I used to like the Resident Evil series and that just faceplanted.

I've no solid opinion on the SF series. I know they have a history of ridiculously titled sequels & different versions and, on the whole, I enjoyed the games that I played of them. I was just awful at them.

Devil May Cry... Well. He might if he'd seen what they're doing next. Unnecessary retcon or reboot, I don't care to remember which any more. All I know is I probably wont pick this up until I see it in a bargain bin. I'll probably want to wear gloves, too.

Megaman is like Breath of Fire now. Too outdated, not "western-ish" enough and not based around multiplayer.

Hell, even fighting games are like that. All they make is SF and MvC. They've long abandoned Darkstalkers...so much so that blazblue is the closest thing we have lol.

They've done some great stuff recently. They've also done some abysmal stuff recently. They're at a resounding "meh" to be honest, I still buy their games but Platinum games have been doing much better stuff with Bayonetta and Vanquish, so I give less time of day to similar Capcom releases in that kind of Japanese-frenetic-action vein.

They have done a lot of horrible things and made some really stupid decisions. Actually, that's it - Capcom are stupid. They aren't horrible as a company, they aren't excellingly brilliant either. But they're thick.
