Is "Car Movie" a sub genre of film? Cause I don't think so but my friend made some pretty good arguments for it but what do you think? Post your response and also any and all good car movie recommendations are welcome for some really good recommendations check out MovieBob's review of Fast 5 he gives a pretty good list

well to your answer, it would be nice to see it as a sub genre under action movie but you can tell its going to be a car film if they use one on the front cover of the dvd case or a poster for the movie. anyway i recommend the following car movies:
Bullitt
The Italian Job(1969) (The newer one just doesnt count in my eyes)
Death Race
Any Transporter Movie
actually if think about it Cars 1&2 if your a car enthusiast
2 Fast 2 Furious had its moments
There really is millions to choose from so go out and have a browse through them.
