Futurama, then South Park, then the Simpsons.

The Simpsons is and always will be the oldest cartoon series of all time!
Fixed for you.
That was a bold move sir, however, it is also very incorrect. Regardless of personal opinion, it is a fact that The Simpsons will go down in history as one of the greatest, most ground breaking, cartoon series of all time. If it weren't for The Simpsons none of the other shows on this list would even exist, especially Family Guy. Family Guy wouldn't have any show ideas if they were not able to rip story lines directly from old Simpsons episodes. I do love Futurama and South Park (sometimes), but they truly pale in comparison to the greatness that is The Simpsons. Put the strongest episodes, or even seasons of each of those shows next to each other and The Simpsons will be the winner.

...but then again this could just be the ramblings of a dirty old man. The younger generation just does not have the same appreciation for the show because it is now normal to have an animated program on in prime time. The true impact of The Simpsons just cannot be felt by people who weren't around for the first several seasons.

However, there is the problem that the Simpsons lost thier edge in-a-timespan-closer-to-a-decade ago. The Seasons 2-10 were full of timeless classics, but nowadays episodes only manage to be, at best, to be kinda good, wich is far away from, you know, Simpsons-Good.

I used to love the Simpsons dearly, but with every new, disappointing episode, this Cartoon inevitably loses a bit more of it's once godlike Status. It just should've stopped by the time Futurama got rolling to preserve that.

That said:

1) Futurama
2) South Park
3) Venture Bros
4) Simpsons
5) Invader Zim
6) Family Guy
7) Metalocalypse
8) Johnny Bravo
9) American Dad
10)The Critic

Tough decision as I'm a lover of South Park, The Simpsons and Futurama. (Picked The Simpsons, tho, since I live in their "home state" and it's such a long-running, influential show and still pretty funny for the most part.)

I cannot STAND Family Guy, as such I've not seen American Dad. lol

Love some of the older Adult Swim series, too, like SG:C2C, Sealab 2021 and Harvey Birdman: Atty-at-Law.

Everyone has the stopping point of the 10th season. I really don't get this at all. There are so many amazing episodes in later seasons. Season 11 has "Behind the Laughter" which, that in itself, makes it an amazing season. Sure the quality of the episodes has waned over the years, but most shows do after 430+ episodes, 20 years, and a movie. I would argue that there are still some great episodes, even in this current season. There are still some episodes that are "Simpsons-Good."

Uhm. You know why Family Guy wouldn't exist without Simpsons? Because they copied them. And American Dad copied Family Guy.

Besides, the Simpsons haven't been getting the ratings or views like they used to. Frankly, out of the new season, only the last two episodes were even remotely funny.

Besides, if there was no Simpsons, there would be no Family Guy. And those idiots wouldn't give up Futurama in favor of FG.

It was between Futurama and South Park, so I went with Futurama because, aside from Bender's Game, Futurama has never disappointed me.

A few years ago I would have said Simpsons no problem, except they've grown old and stale while South Park is still amazingly hilarious (the recent Dead Celebrities episode had me in stitches, I couldn't believe how funny that was. Mmmm, Chibotle!). So South Park it is.

Out of the list given my favorite is Futurama, it's intelligent and well written and generaly (in real life) under-rated. South Park is also one of my favorites but there are some episodes I don't like. Poll needs Adult Swim shows, Venture Brothers, Squidbillies, ATHF, Harvey Birdman and Metalacolypse are great. Oh! and King of the Hill many episodes are hit and miss but most times its funny.
