For a quick explanation of what celebrity fakes are, see below.
So my question is (as clearly evidenced in the poll) is thus: Are these morally wrong? Is there an arguement for them in certain cases? What if a terminally ill child wished for a picture of their favourite celebrity with a family member? Would the parent be immoral in using someone's image without their consent, even for a noble reason? And what about baser reasons? Is it better than, for example, a celebrity sex tape which the celebrity has no wish to release but has been anyway? Of course these questions are all hypothetical, but I believe it to be interesting from a philosophical viewpoint.
As this is my first thread, I would ask a few rules could be followed to keep things civil:
1)No judging others choices, or lampooning them for their views on this matter. Remove the log in your own eye first, or something. It's in the bible somewhere. Look it up.
2)NO. I will not be posting links. Do not ask. Use google, or bing or something.
3)Don't ask me where I first heard of these. I can't even remember.
For my viewpoint, I don't know about certain usage of someone's image. Especially if they make a living off people finding their image appealing. N.B. I am not condoning the arguement that people "provoke" rape. Don't know why I thought you night think that, I just did. So anyway, congrats if you managed to read that big ole' chunk of text. Give me one back and I'll try to repay the favour

Celebrity Fakes are pictures (usually of adult content) where a celebrity's head is photoshopped on to the body of the person. Ergo, you can show a picture of a celebrity doing pretty much anything you want. However, I am under the impression most websites conform to the pornography laws of the counrt of origin.
