Well I have one but I'm not too up ons it. It's nice to have around but I use the internet way more. I don't call my friends much lol Only if I'm out or they aren't online.

Oh wait, I do use it as a mp3 player... but not for calls really.

I hate cell phones. I don't want people to be able to reach me, because in all likelihood I hate them.

I need a phone that does nothing but prevent people from contacting me. Any time somebody would try to call, page or talk to me, my awesome phone would punch them in the stomach.

I do have a Tracphone for emergencies and to get rides from people since I have no money and no car.

I have one, but I don't use it overly much. My family often calls my cellphone to contact my mom, because she rarely has hers turned on.
I call people and text friends once in a while, but I use it to figure out what time it is more than anything.

I own a mobile phone, have for a few years and I love it.

I use it as an alarm, to store photos, to keep notes and reminders.. Texting is fast and easy for me, comes in really handy and saves credit.

Yeah. One of my best purchases ever.

Yep, I have a phone. An iPhone 3G S no less. I'm a slut for having the best.
I'd hardly associate the words "the best" with a device with so many horrible, pointless failings. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.88365#1352807]

Now, I'm rather attached to my phone, a Nokia E71. As a telephonic device, I don't use it very often; however, I often use it as an internet device and a word processor - I wrote this entire article on my phone in a single day. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.105860] Try pulling that sort of thing off, you iPhone-using sheep.
How are iPhone users sheep?
I don't own an iPhone, but I must say that it's apparent that you think much too highly of yourself. So you don't like iPhone's.
No need to completely generalize an entire group of people who enjoy their iPhone's.
No offense, but it kinda' makes you look like a self-rightous ass.

First, gratz on your essay. That's what my laptop is for.
Second, I've never had any problems with my phone.
Third, I have the newsest iPhone, so many of the old problems have been sorted out.
Fourth, I like my phone just fine. I'll let you know when I care that others think it's inferior.

And lastly, have a wonderful day.

Yup and I use it all the time. Keeping in touch with friends, mainly through text (I rarely actualy call people). Also browsing the internet, going on MSN and downloading and playing with apps (I have a G1, great mobile). Also the physical qwerty keyboard makes it nice and easy to quickly tap out notes and essays if I have forgotten to write them earlier!

Well, I hate them. When I'm not within voice range it usually means I want left alone.

Not where I think it matters the most. The interface is the same, it's still trying to be a gaming device without any appropriate buttons and the operating system still sucks.

Frankly, the interface reminds me more of Windows 3.1 than anything modern.
I don't really use it so much for 'hardcore gaming', that's what my XBOX and PS3 are for. I use it for phonecalls/texting and the internet of course. As well as GPS, Kindle, online banking, iPod, checking the weather and the stocks. I also like the touch-screen and manipulating web-pages and photos that way.

It does what I need it to do, so you can have your nokia or whatever. I'll keep my iPhone.

I use my phone all the time. Because the phone at my house is broken and the phone at my work usually is the center of an office prank.

I rarely or ever get a call and I never get the urge to call someone unless I want something. I voted for using it all the time because I've got 7GB:s of music on it. Cell phones aren't just phones anymore.

PS. Text messages is the work of the devil I tell ya!

I have had a cell phone since I was 13 years old, and my spelling, grammar, and diction are all damn near impeccable.

A guy I know has a cell phone, but he doesn't take incoming calls on it. That's an easy way to make sure you don't have your privacy intruded upon.
