Poll: Changing Avatars

Weirdly enough, I've just changed mine.
When I first joined, I had a ZP which quickly became a Robot Chicken one. I kept that for ages, with only a minor change.
Then I picked this one.

So far I haven't changed it and I don't think I plain to ether. This is also the same pic I have for my Steam. I like having Nana O. as my avatar. Makes me happy.

I've only improved from my past avatars, I've never really gone and completely changed it. I think I'll be sticking with this avatar from now on because it seems to get a decently positive reaction.

then Gin (bleach)
then V (V for Vendetta)

and now it's this shadowy duo of something someone thought of and posted on deviantart...
and i like it so it's a keeper.

Before my current avatar I had one of Elisha Cuthbert which I'd been using for 4 years.

I really didn't want to change it but after being mistaken as a girl too many times I made this one on the IGN website and this is now my permanent avatar

I'm still not fully decided on mine. Started off with my steam avatar, then changed to this one I made. I'll probably keep changing it until I find one I really like.

I haven't changed my avatar (Except for variants) since I changed to this one last year, about 4000 posts ago.
This is my face now, I can never get rid of it...

Funny you should say that, because I only recognise most of people on the escapist for there avatars, not there names thank to my inability to remember them. The number of people I recognise would drop dramatically if everyone changed there avatars.

I only changed 4 times.

First was a Locust Theron Gears 2. (lased about month)
Second was a funny fusion of Darth Vader and Homer Simpson. (lasted for 11 months)
Third was Yuikmaru from Disgaea 2 but that one was very brief. (lasted two weeks)
Now is a scene form the first AVP that I got thanks to the AVP user group.

So far I plan on not changing my Avatar. I really like this one.

I had the S.I.N. logo from Street Fighter 4 for a long time, but now it's this little the HOPE parody I made of Terumi from BlazBlue: Continuum Shift.
I would love to have an animated GIF as an avatar, if I knew how to edit GIFs.

Just go to the Avatar store and ask nicely. I'm sure someone will do it for you.

As for me, I changed my avatar ALOT in the beginning. Namely because I had my Avy changed by someone turning it into a fairy, on the grounds it was "offensive".(It was a nuke going off, thats it) So I wasn't sure what to use, since I was now paranoid about getting banhammered.
Since then I've gone through various avatars, but havn't really found one that sticks. My current one is just because I got tired halfway through searching through a new one. Once I find a memorable one, i use it, but until then, I'll stick with my anime avatars.

i change my avatar whenever something else i find awesome comes along

for as long as i have been on the escapist i have changed it about six or seven times but i am sticking with my scott pilgrim as mario raccoon running from danger i believe

I've changed my av a lot, though they've mostly followed a cartoon/CD-i theme. I've got a noticeable and (I'd like to think) memorable avatar at the moment (for those that don't know, it's Gwonam from the Zelda CD-i games, or as he's more commonly known, "SQUADALA! man").

I'll probably be sticking with this one.

I change mine every couple months, maybe two or three times a year.

I'm currently looking for a new one so Commander Boreale is soon to be retired.

I had 2 avatars before this one, but they were boring. I like this one, so I'll stick with it until I get round to making an animated version. (essentially changing wobbufett in the Team Rocket anime intros to Bobafett) Which I might not ever do.

I had a pic of a phoenix to go along with my name, but then I found this reference to Pulp Fiction and fell in love with it.
