If I plan to check but don't: it always works out.
IF I plan to check and do i lose something...
If I don't plan at all i have a good day...

Well after one and a half years of high school and carrying my bag with me everywhere I now feel weird whenever I walk around without it on weekends or whatever. It has me feeling like I'm missing things every few minutes, causing me to stop and think at random times.

I do that all the time. Also whenever I leave a classroom I must glance back to make sure I haven't left anything on my desk.

It's called OCD, I used to kind of have it. Not a intensely as you though. I eventually grew out of when I got older, probably because I have a copious amount of stuff to think about and do so it doesn't rally ahve time to rear it's head.

Have a tiny case of OCD, so I end up checking things triple times, and sometimes even four times.

I generally make a really small list, stick all the stuff in my bag, and then forget about it.
That manner of packing has only backfired on me once, when I forgot my math binder.

And welcome to the Escapist.
Just leave your soul in the receptacle near the door and take your designated seat.

I always subconsciously check my pockets for my wallet, phone, keys etc so I normally notice if I lose something pretty quickly

I used to quadruple check everything, including what was in my pockets. But I stopped myself recently, since that's a sure-fire way to go (more) crazy.

So checking only once for me.

I wish I did double check. I've grown so accustomed to having certain things in certain places (apartment keys in jacket pocket), that I've started to just assume they are there, and not even bother checking. Cost me 20 euros once, and on another occasion, an hours wait for my roommate.

I used to like.. billion-check as a kid. There was never a point of no return for me as a kid. I lock the front door, leave for school, come running back after five minutes, just to make sure the door is locked, leave for school, come running back AGAIN, because it still for some reason might've not been locked.

Another Finn, woop!

I only check once although for every thing I carry in my pockets (cell, keys, money, USB, wallet) i do one pat down (because i can feel it) just to be sure. On reflection, I probably should double check to avoid a mysterious missing homework.
