Chiropractic is a specialized medical field. Calling it pseudoscience would be like calling optometry pseudoscience. Yes, chriopractic is often marginalized in Western medical practice; that's because the majority of MDs practicing aren't more familiar with the spine and joints than the basic classes they got in med school. Complementary medicine is the term that I prefer to use when talking about chiropractic, physical therapy, massage, and the Eastern medical practices. Chiros are the ones to go to for your back and neck, general MDs are the ones who are supposed to refer you to a specialist for any problem outside their scope of practice. Many don't however, because that takes money out of their pockets. Money they could be making by prescribing you more junk to mediate the symptoms, instead of resolving the cause of the problems.
