dude, it's not hard. Schroedinger's cat and Pavlov's dog are famous scientific experiments. A normal geek would call their cat Schroedinger and their dog Pavlov. A contrary geek like myself swaps the names to throw off stereotype. That's all, man.

You're welcome. Basically, the guy took the names of 2 famous experiments, Pavlov's being on a dog, and Shroedinger's being on a hypothetical cat, and switched them.
