As we all can see when we watch Television, the Christmas holiday is quite the epicenter of many a commercial exploit.
And we all have our favorites.
I personally greatly enjoy some of the specials that appear, the 'timeless classics' to borrow the colloquialism.
I especially like the original 1951 Scrooge.

Although I've never seen it I'd have to go with the polar express, it was my favorite book as a child, I'm sure it would hold up in cinematic form.

My favorites are Muppet Christmas Carol, How the Grinch Stole Christmas ('60s cartoon), and Nightmare Before Christmas (which you did have in the poll).

As a child, I always rather liked Father Christmas, by the same people who did The Snowman.

Funny, I remember it being longer.

Oh my God, there is no experience quite like the Star Wars Holiday Special. Seriously.

A Christmas Story rules too.

It's a Wonderful Life is a terrible movie. For 5 years or so, I never saw past the part where the main character loses everything, and I always thought that was how it ended. Ruined it for me.

The Father Ted Christmas special is hilarious.

...

Am I the only one who has heard of Father Ted?
