Curious. MOM shouldn't give any trouble(other than the normal in-game glitches). Have you checked the Dosbox.conf file? Are ums=true and ems=true under the [dos] header?samaugsch said:The second one.veloper said:Are you getting a DOSBOX error or is MOM printing the error in the box?samaugsch said:I've tried that and it says that it isn't compatible.veloper said:Run MOM within DOSBOX. The box is free. This should always work.samaugsch said:Instead of an army, I drop nuclear bombs in Civ5. xDRyotknife said:Civ 4 and 5 are much more polished than warlock.
That said, i do like Warlock as it is a lot more hectic than Civ 5 and you are not stuck for 100+ turns just going through the motions like in Civ 5 (seriously once you get artillery you might as well just stop playing).
But yea, Warlock needs some work. As it is you get to turn 110-130 and you get bored
Anyway, I only picked Warlock because it's the only one I've played out of the two. That, and it's probably as close to Master of Magic as I can get to playing on my computer. :/
If you cannot stand the MCGA graphics of MOM, then the closest thing to MOM is Age of Wonders Shadow magic.
Checking under [cpu] for core=simple or core=normal may also help.
Maybe it's also a good idea to run the install again, for the MOM setup. Start with something simple like selecting a SB pro soundcard and save.
