Hey you guys probably think I'm a noob or a troll or something but I'm actually here to somehow get noticed on the Internet. I try to make interesting threads, but users forget about them in a matter of hours, so I sure could use some suggestions about making a cool thread, so what do you guys like?

I've proved that something simple like 'What's your favourite colour?' works quite well in gaining a few pages...

Just try to appeal to as wide an audience as you can.

How to make a cool thread? Just pick topics that interest you and write somewhat of an article about them. The more information, usually the better, as long as it doesn't become "tl;dr".

If you want to get noticed, post more. That's usually the best way.

As for leaving the site, don't do it. It's a great site to be a part of.

Put the word sex in the title somewhere, that usually gives you about 5-7 pages. Hehe.

In all seriousness, make a thread that many people can enjoy and debate upon. For instance, if you make a thread about people's favorite TV shows, then many people will write about their favorite show.

Low content threads don't do well, and while high content threads that require serious discussion are encouraged, they don't always do very well.
Also, high-content threads have a severe case of tl;dr. Seriously, quotes get so piled up in them, that it's like intestinal blockage, although, in your eyes, not your pooper.

okay first way to get noticed is get ride of that avatar. all the new people have that avatar you might as well have just left it blank. go out there and find a really different one that moves that way people will at least have something to recognize.

second i'm not sure how to make large threads i would just look around see which ones have a large number see what things in common you can find. just be sure to have proper grammar

third let us get to know you a little bit about you mention a favorite thing to do/hobby every once and a while in your posts. you know something to make you standout.

those are my tips to becoming cool.(but really change the avatar if you want to get noticed)

Joking: "How long are your shoelaces?" i estimate 9 pages awesomeness

OT: Post something tricky and interesting that eventually evolves into a casual chat.

how's it now??
It's certainly...readable. It's certainly better than both the Zero Punctuation one and your last one. I could see it being one that would be noticeable.

Start a thread about going dogging with Hitler. That should get at least 3-4 pages.

[Edit]
Most of the discusion would be about how public sex and extream racisim do not mix....

Or do they?

[Edit[Edit]]

Knock a point off the YES in the poll, I marked the wrong box. I DONT WANT YOU TO LEAVE!

You have made 40 posts in total. Fame doesn't come easy. Sure you shouldn't be recognized for high post counts but a lot of people do and a lot of people don't, make some memorable posts and join some user groups, should be fine.

Story threads tend to make people view your thread more especially funny stories like the customer service one that went on for around 24 pages I think? It's fun for everyone.

High post counts are third only to actually doing something with the community or being a staff member. Since those are hard to do, I suggest the post count if you want to be recognized. But that's not considered to be the best reason for being popular, so you might want to make sure some of those posts are actually good. Try joking or adding intelligent points to them.

Edit: For high post count thread either start a popular forum game or make a topic where the whole thing dissolves into a giant flame war(seriously, why do those things end up so successful?). Don't do that second one, as I was joking about it...
