What is your opinion pm "partying" or clubbing?
When i say partying i mean going to parties and doing the whole drinking, dancing and being on a high kind of thing.

Personally I do not get this kind of thing. I am the guy at parties who finds some stranger and has a huge discussion with them in the corner. I am underage so i cannot go to clubs but i wen't to a party bus which is bassicaly the same kind of thing and i could not stand the bad loud music and everyone cramped up dancing and it beign impossible to talk almost.

So are there any party animals on the escapist? Do you have two identies, gamer by day and club hopper by night?

I don't drink or dance so the whole club thing never appealed to me. I perfectly enjoy spending my evenings at the movies or hanging out with a few friends talking about God politics, guns, work, college, etc.

Ya I'm the guy you hear at those parties whose jumping fires chugging back brews and just tearing the joint up that's the only way to go when you don't remember a chunk of the night there's always Facebook in the morning

I don't drink or dance so it's not my kind of scene. That and the people who go to these type of places makes me want to strangle them all with piano wire and I'm generally a nice person.

I love dancing and I love drinking. This is why I spend so much time being drunk and trying to play DDR at the same time.
[/notreally]

I love dancing though, honestly. Being and active socially and being a gamer do not have to be exclusive.

I don't like the crowds, the ear shattering music, the filthy stench of sweat and the drunk kids. That's why I avoid discos and "clubs". But! I do like going out. But you'll find me in cafes or pubs.

Metal shows I love.
Rock shows I love.
Dance clubs I despise.

I have good luck with women in more intelligent environments like...bookstores and coffee shops.

I can't say I hate it, I just don't get the fun in it. I have a lot more fun watching an awesome movie or playing a great game, than getting drunk and dancing like an idiot with other people who are drunk and dance like idiots. Even the time I spend at those parties is usually spent with a bottle of beer in my hand talking to a friend in the corner. It could be the music tastes of those around me tho. It seems like the youth of today seems to have some kind of quarrel with anything that has an electric guitar in it. But since night clubs get massive profits I guess there's just something I just can't see.

I live in a Southern town where all the hot chicks hang out at the bookstores. When I say "hot" I am not talking about my own subjective version of hot, I mean the actual 8/10 hot.

Being a person who's not really into the whole 'get wasted and end up in bed with a women you have no recollection of', I'm not into the whole clubbing/partying thing. Just not my scene.

I don't really like clubs. There's one club in town here that has no cover before 9PM (and only $5 after, which I will begrudgingly pay) and plays really great, danceable music from the 60s and 70s, and I love that place; otherwise, I have no interest in paying upwards of $15 to get into an incredibly overcrowded room where they are blaring terrible techno or R&B so loudly that you can't have a conversation with anyone and a bottle of beer is $8. When I go to pubs, I prefer a quieter atmosphere where you can carry on an actual conversation and don't have to pay through the urethra.

I do like doing "the whole drinking, dancing, and being on a high kind of thing," who doesn't? There's not a lot of dancing at the parties I go to, but what's more fun than having some drinks with your friends, meeting a bunch of new people, and either hitting it off with ladies or dudes or watching your friends do so?

It really depends on the definition of clubbing. I don't go clubbing in the sense that most of us think of: trendy clubs, loud shit music everywhere, obnoxious self-centered bastards and their kin, high prices on entry and drinks and way too much hate in the air from all the cocaine and macho bull-shit.

I do, however, go to some places where they play the kind of music I like. Dub and roots-reggae is pretty big here, so I love to go to that kind of clubs and dance all night. THe people are usually pretty cool and different from what you find in the "trendy" clubs. Occasionally I go to a drum and Bass concert, but they are pretty scarce in my city (obviously not England). But when I go dancing, it's mainly concerts

I usually hang out at bars, bodegas and the like, recently we have been going to one bar in particular, where they play rock and punk and serve some pretty awesome shots.

My thoughts exactly. It's more or less become a principle of mine. Why the hell should I pay to go to a place where there's no real music or act to speak of, to stand in line forever and drink your overpriced beverages??

I pretty much agree with whats been said already. Clubs are loud and full of chavs or performing tarts. In a pub, you can get good food, drinkies and have a chat. As for dancing, i do that anytime i feel like it!

Pubs for me. I hate people my age with a passion and don't need to go out to pick up at the moment anyway so there's no reason to hit up a club.

I much prefer the atmosphere in a pub or a sports bar - I've done my time getting entirely slaughtered with people I hardly know, and I have to say that it bores the hell out of me anyway - thus the pub.

clubbing is hit or miss, when your with friends its a blast, but if you go alone the night quickly turns bland if you don't drink. (like i do) just stay home and play videogames

There is nothing, nothing I say, that can beat a good old English pub in the countryside.

Sitting on an old wooden bench, with four good friends, pints of home-brewed bitter in hand, and peanuts on the table. This is truly the definition of greatness.
