I've tried searching for a similar thread, but found nothing.

I've had the fortunate opportunity to have a friend in Latvia which I frequently visit.
On my visit here I was bored and went to a videogame store and I discovered CoD4 and CoD: WW on the shelf - for next to nothing

CoD4 costs 8 LATs here (around $16) and CoD: WW costs 13 LATs ($25).
Let me remind you all that I live in Sweden where these games have the outrageous pricetag of 50 Euros each. (and on STEAM they are 25% more expensive thanks to the fuckheads at Valve with their retarded 1$ = 1 EUR conversion)

Now, here's the angle:
I've already played through both the games on Single Player Campaign. While CoD4 greatly outweighs CoD: WW in the Single Player Mode I will most likely never play any of them again in SP mode. CoD:WW to me was extremely mediocre (basically a CoD1 remake).
I am solely buying these games for the Multiplayer part.
So I ask which of these games have the strongest multiplayer.
Should I go for the latest title as I know it has some strong Multiplayer development and updates + zombie minigame or does CoD4 still have strong multiplayer base?

Both of these games are (of course!) for the PC

I vote both. CoD4 has great balance, graphics, and levels. CoDWaW has dismemberment. They equal out quite well.

... Turtles (What? You didn't expect World at War did you?).

Seriously, there is no comparison. CoD4 is vastly better.

Also, I like turtles as well. Can you make a fourth option, COD4 and Turtles?

CoD4. The maps are awful in WaW and bolt action rifles don't make up for that.
Bolt action rifles make up for everything!

I like both really, i mean the gameplay and maps for COD4 were far better, but the menu and setup of COD: WAW was much better, also limbs flying off are awesome

So let me get this straight.
CoD4 has more balanced maps while WW is more rich in features?
Also, please state which balance issues are present and what cons and pros the games have.

I agree, the menu really makes or breaks a game.

Dawwwh you think your clever, how cute. i dont recall that's what made the game sunshine, rather it makes navigating the game a hell of a lot easier which i appreciate immensely

Oh and guess what it can make or break a game in someones opinion, there are no rules written down in some holy game bible that states what IS and what IS NOT a good game their are people and their opinions on why they like a game or not.

I like WaW, 4 was finer tuned, but having to earn your sniper scope for most sniper rifles and the grenade launcher requires you to be decent at the game before getting powerful stuff. That, and I love the look of the guns, a ton of 4's guns all looked the same to me.

I didn't finish WaW on single player, but thats it bored me.

Do you want modern combat, or do you want to play with guns that have been replaced for a reason? Modern Warfare all the way.

I liked both, but I couldn't play CoD4 online. The difficulty curve was like a brick wall. Not a friendly introduction to it. My first match I was in with higher levelled players. Which is why I voted for WaW. The setup for online matches was vastly superior in my opinion. I like WaW; I think it gets much more crap than it deserves...
