I was playing CoD 5 yesterday and i realised that the Russian section of the game is almost and exact clone of the CoD 2. Sure there are less telephone wires to repair but thats about it.

On the a similar subject opinions on wether or not CoD 2 (Russian) is the same as the film Enemy At The Gates.

(I apologise if this topic has been posted elsewhere but i couldn't see it in the search)

No, the Cod2 Russian campaign is only Stalingrad.

Haven't played CoD: World at War (which I hate when people call it CoD 5), but I pressed "Yes", just to agree with you.

And so what?
In the russian campaign, you ran around, killed enemies and repaired telephone wires, only CoD 5's russian campaign lacks the telephone wiring.
So that leaves us with just running around and killing enemies.
What FPS doesn't do that?

That happens when you make a game based on something that actually happened. Any other games based on the same event are going to have the same storyline.
