TBH i'm supprised no1 from the escapist has noticed how crap the multiplayer actually is. The game revolves around the main part of it now being the Zombie part of Co-op. The Campaign; fantastic. The Zombies; origional concept stolen for CoD4 Zombie mods such as the BTD Zombies and developed by professionals rather than amateurs which in its own way is kinda shite and kinda good.Jinxzy said:The basic map pack Nacht der Untoten seems to only gives clues about another map pack coming out. With the second map pack and so on it seems they add more and more.Simon Hadow said:I haven't the foggiest what you are talking about, seeing as I only have the basic map, but it's interesting to see how much Nazi Zombies has grown into a kind of game all its own.
But at this stage i think they're trying to milk a dead cow, this is only my opinion as you can see, and is trying to keep it's main fan base (PC fan base anyway) happy by pumping out more and more generic crap that is already done by amatuers like BTD. 5 Months before dogs came out in the second map pack Zombie dogs/hellhounds (although cruedly made) were being shot down by incredibly bored gamers. If you look at the amount of server/players playing the fully patched version of the game you can see the drastic difference between servers/players from its ridiculously close relative CoD4. Aprox. 17000 - 19000 fully patched servers to WaW's 4000. It's quite ridiclous.
I say ridiculously close because Trey-Arse has taken the game engine from CoD4 and decided that, no they aren't game designers anymore, They are INTERIOR designers. Even the frikin blades of grass are "pretty".
They spend more time and effort (as little as that may be) on making decent graphically designed maps to destract people from their drastic problems. "You just look at these while we work on a way in which we can stop the game crashing every time you Tab out of the game". Amazingly this was fixed in patch 1.4 and the second 1.5 came out..........it broke........again.
The maps they produce aren't exactly bright either. They seem to have a pallet of, gray, greeny gray, browny gray and well to put it bluntly gray. The most colourful map is Seelow and once ur out of the corn field it goes back to greeny gray and browny gray. The amazing thing about it is that for PC all the patches are free! where as Xbox and PS3 (not too sure about PS3) you have to pay for the patches. Oh how fun!
I've said in a previous thread that Tray-Arse's last attempt at a CoD game CoD3 was SUCH a flop it never came out onto PC. So few people bought it that it is now simply a breach between IW's CoD2 and CoD4. Activision seems to either be Jaded 99.999% of the time thinking that Trey-Arse can make a good game and that if they give them enough chances they might produce a golden egg or is simply playing them off each other in order to A) make a profit off a small gap while the next actually good game is brought out by decent developers and B)so that the suspence of people waiting for the flop of a game to go away and die in a corner again will lead them to rush out and buy a bright and shiney possibilty of a game.
