A lot of games have collectible items scattered all over, particularly open world games. GTA's hidden packages, Spider-Man 2's tokens, Assassin's Creed's flags and feathers, you get the idea. How do you normally get them?
I typically feel like I pretty much have to use a guide. I don't have much desire to explore every nook and cranny, and I'm afraid if I did it by myself I'd get most of them and then not be able to find the remaining few. But as I'm playing GTAIV I am tempted to try to find the pigeons by myself while marking the ones I find on a map or something. I'm not sure yet.
