For a while a question has been coming up with my friends: John Stewart or Stephen Colbert? You decide.

John Stewart FTW. Colbert is kool, but he got his start on the Daily Show. Stewart is the OG Comedy News Show.

I think Stewart tends to take himself to seriously, Colbert however does not plus Colbert appeared in an issue of Amazing Spider Man.

I haven't seen much of either but Colbert cracks me up something serious when I do catch snippets of his show.

I liked that one episode of the daily show when they had a clip of McCain walking around and they had audio saying that he was looking for his dog Mr. Puddles.

Oh man I laughed so hard I could barely breathe

This exactly, although I'm planning on renting a few episodes of the Colbert Report when I'm able.

they both have their merits. Colbert for example changed the way that corespondents behave on the daily show, he was the first to take on an actual persona and now everyone on the daily show does it. however Stewart generally takes his job more seriously, he actually produces a part of the campaign that isn't covered that much, in specific double speak. balancing those 2 i still prefer Stewart, i just like his news more.
