I've never read a comic book or graphic novel in my entire life, largely for the same reason I've never played WoW or any other mumorpuger(!); the whole idea and subculture seems weird and frightening to me.
Aw. You're right. We are. But that's why it's so fun! (That, and the terrified expressions on the faces of you norms.)

I'm a DC fanboy, but I read everything. And yes, Final Crisis is a disaster, just as Infinite Crisis was. DC is a lot better at one-shots with their big characters, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc. Why they even waste staff on the crappy "mainline" garbage is beyond me. Only like 10 eight year olds care anyway.

10 40 year old eight year olds.

spot on.

DC tries to much to straighten out continuity problems while marvel......well, they ignore these type of problems. Trying to much always leads to disaster :/

I read a lot of comics, but honestly you have to shift though a lot of shit to get to the good comics.

Whos my faviourt Publisher?...If you'd asked me 4 months ago I would have said Marvel with out a doubt. But then I realised that DC isn't just superman and batman, its so, so much more than marvel can ever be, you just have to dig deep, go back in time to the 80s. There, you'll find Swamp Thing, Sandman, Hellblazer, Watchmen, and so many more. Though I do like the ultimate comics, comparing Sandman to Ultimate Spiderman is like comparing Fight Club to Hollyoaks.

I like just about anything. The only thing is that it pisses me off when they kill a character and then bring them back. Example: When Colossus died curing the Legacy Virus.

I used to read The Beano & The Dandy when I was young. Does that count?
heh...sadly me too.

I had most of my access to marvel stuff from 90's cartoons of Iron man, The X-men, hulk, fantastic 4, spiderman, etc

I have never read an actual physical comic book in my life but I enjoy reading, watching and hearing about them. The Marvel Comics films are some of my favourites.

Lol. 90s Spiderman anyone? Uuuugh. I think modern comics publishers are realizing what storytellers realized thousands of years ago: people come for cool stories with familiar characters. They don't need full psychological rationale or a codified story arch. Look at old mythology. The characters and their personalities were consistent, but things didn't always go in the same order. And that was okay. The characters and stories count more.

Besides, if you want 40 years of uninterrupted continuity, there's always Star Trek.

...At least until that new movie comes out. Way to ruin it, Abrams.
