I enjoy a good comic. I have read plenty but my most favorite is definatley "The Walking Dead" simply cause of the art and writing style, it's all so clever and defining. It doesn't suffer from over crazy plot lines or continuity issues (Like I has seen in recent spiderman comics) it's a one way going story that grips the readers curiosity through every page. Plus the zombies are insanely cool.

So yes, Express and discuss your feelings love, hate and knowledge of comics, I'm sure we can find a good laugh or learning experience from this thread.

I do read comics but I am picky with what I read.
more frequently I have been reading online comics which helps because my bank acount is being drained frequently by the college I am attending.

I also remember picking up a scott pilgrim comic in 2006 and thought it was a rip off of the anime drawing. but i still picked it up and was not disapointed!

Somewhat yes. I can't afford to buy a comic at all but I do borrow them out from the local library at the moment although I had read all the good ones...

I usually only read manga, and then the only humor-strip comic I read is Cyanide and Happiness.

the only print comic I read is what my avatar is from.

I read plently of webcomics though, and am always interested in seeing what else I can find.

God, I love comic books!
Question: Am I a bad person because I want to read collections instead of individual books?

Pearls Before Swine, Foxtrot, Get Fuzzy, Prickly City, Dilbert.

I read more print comics than anything else, really.

Not into "proper" comics or manga.

I love Marvel and DC Comics. I was really into them and following a bunch of titles like 5-ish years ago. But then I got broke and couldn't keep up. Now i"m so far behind that I've lost interest in keeping up.

I'll still read old TPB's though. The most recent thing I've read is Civil War.

Webcomics, yes, actual comics, nope. The only ones I ever liked were Calvin and Hobbes and Garfield for a while.

Concession kicks ass though ^^

I read manga and online comics like VG Cats and Ball2That but, I don't read many American comics. The art style just does not appeal to me I guess.

I've barely ever read comics, but one series I did like was the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. It was so much better than the movie based on it.

I've never really liked superhero-based comics, though I don't really know why. If there was one comic I'd like to read it would be The Punisher, but it's one of those things that's been around for so long, I just have no idea where to start.

One series I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes reading comics while jumping up and down screaming "Awesome!!" at the pages is El Gorgo! It's about a hyper-intelligent luchador gorilla who fights ancient sea-creatures, travels through time and space with his Mexican-wrestler friends, and saves the world just in time to play in his world-famous band's rock concert. Also he says "Great Googly-Moogly!" The best part is that you can read it all online for free, or buy it on paper if you feel like supporting them.

The only printed comic I've read was Vertigo's Sandman. I do follow quite a few mangas and webcomics tho. The best one being Unsounded.

If you haven't heard of Unsounded yet then your missing out on something amazing. It's funny, the plot is engaging and well written, the characters are very well fleshed out and believable and the art is absolutely stunning. Oh and it's updated three times per week!

Good god, yes. I have little use for superhero comics or manga for the most part, but I consider works like Transmetropolitan and Y: The Last Man to be straight-up literature and pretty much the best things I've ever read. Hellboy (and B.P.R.D.), The Walking Dead, DMZ, Northlanders, Scott Pilgrim--all brilliant. Also, I firmly believe Tony Moore's run on The Walking Dead was 95% better than Adlard's, for the rest of the series.

I find most manga to be shallow and predictable, but I will admit to love Akira. Its scale is spectacular and there's no denying its impact on comics. I also greatly enjoy Berserk, for its surprisingly well-written characters, ludicrously beautiful artwork, and out of respect for its creator, who has steadfastly spent the last twenty years on it, without any help, determined to pen the grandest, bloodiest, scariest, most hardcore fantasy epic to ever come out of his country. Seriously, the man has absolutely no reservations, and you have to respect him for that.

As for webcomics, I especially love FreakAngels [http://www.freakangels.com/], because seriously, Warren Ellis. Also, The Meek [http://www.meekcomic.com/] is great.

I read a lot of web comics, and love a good trade paperback or one-off trade when I can get my hands on them.

Outside of a couple of very minor webcomics, I don't really read any. I don't really care much for reading in and of itself, and my brain keeps telling me that my time can be better spent doing other things such as NOT watching TV, NOT playing video games, and NOT being productive... seriously though I have no idea why I don't ever do anything in my free time. I'm just perpetually bored.

And really, I'm the type of person who wants to become a fan of one particular hero to associate with and follow, interacting with other characters but only through his or her eyes. But I can't seem to do that with any characters. They're either too popular or too unrelatable to me. It's the same reason why I don't really have a "favourite character" in Smash Bros.
