Perhaps I should reiterate. Since the launch of "Wrath of the Lich King", which is more appropriately titled "Let's make Paladins unfuckingstoppable"Arcticflame said:

But I'd say if you're used to juggling roles at the drop of a hat, a druid.

The thing is I've gotten too used to the workings of a paladin I'm finding it hard to adjust, I had no idea when I started they'd be a bit overused but actually because of nearly everyone doing this on Servers (making alts) they're slowly becoming more scarce. Holy paladins are bloody tricky though I'm finding...
I'm so glad I picked paladin the day I started playing. (WotLK's release day)
Even I can see we need a slight nerf...
And I'm sad to say but my recent experiences with Warrior tanks vs the other classes have been bad, I don't know what the majority of them are doing wrong but the only good one I know is a highly dedicated one in my guild... And then we have our Paladin, Druid and DK tanks, who all nearly upstage him entirely without effort. It's sucky...

In Pre-Bc you needed a warrior tank because of crushing blows.
In Post-BC a warrior tank was the easiest class to gear up for heroics/kara then any other kind of tank.
In Post-wrath You can hit defense cap superfast, No more crusing blows and what's more most classes, can AoE Better.

Pretty much replaced by other classes at the moment.

i <3 my 80 warr. but im too lazy to go into full PvP (which i suck at) or Prot (which I don't necessarily like) so im a bloody hybrid with most talents in arms lol.

Anything but a warrior all they get is nerfed because Blizzard knows fuck all about balance they just listen to QQ.
On my server before I deleted all my characters, we had trouble recruiting Warlocks. I wouldn't bother with a DK, I had one fully decked in T7.5 before I went back to my Shaman. DKs are everywhere, and it makes pugging things / getting into a good guild hard.
The problem with this thread is that class population varies from server to server.
There's always way too many DPSes though, so go for a healer or a tank. (This is true on WH EU)
Or why not a hybrid, a Druid perhaps? You'll get all 3 roles in one, and they're fun to play.

I've not played since WOTLK launched so my info may not be 100% correct but if you want to get into parties then either roll a defensive warrior as a tank (probably the hardest class to lvl and play well) or a holy priest. I played both of these and although I struggled a bit with the warrior between lvls 20 and 40 (only time I really needed help lvling a toon) I allways found it easy to get groups.
If you have played a healer with your palli then you will find the priest a lot easier to play tbh. Their combination of buffs, dps and shield spells I found made them one of the easiest solo classes to play whilst being one of the most sought after team members for any instance/team quest due to their vastly superior healing skills.
Playing a defense warrior on the other hand is hard work. Tanking with one is nothing like tanking with a palli and takes some getting used to. At high lvls you can attain decent dps but a lot depends on your equipment tbh. They are worth playing though as the sense of satisfaction from doing a good job as a tank rivals that of doing a good job as any other toon. Finding groups is also very easy but does rely on you being good at your role. A bad tank gets a bad reputation very fast.

I put my Tier 6-7 Paladin on the back burner for that very reason. I was 1 of 3 paladins in my raiding guild before WOTLK and the only tank spec paladin. I took a 6 week break before WOTLK released and when I came back my guild now has nearly a dozen paladins and I no longer had a raid spot. Paladins are SO overpop right now that I can't find a raiding guild looking for one.
So I put the paladin on hiatus and I started rolling alts. Got a Druid at 66 right now I'm working up to hopefully snag a spot in a raid guild soon.
