We have all seen topics that sound like, What is your favorite game, What is your favorite movie, but are these topics good enough to be restarted?

The rules state that they can be reformed after a few weeks/months. A lot of people disregard that rule, and post them anyways, though.

There are a lot of repeat threads about repeat threads :p

Yes, I think it would be okay to recreate a topic if it has been dead for at least 1-2 months.

Every once in a while, yes. Not often though. Two or three month minimum should be enough time between common threads.

Honestly, I think starting a thread with the words HALO or VS or the phrase WHY THE HATE in the title should be coded so pressing submit automtically bans the OP permanently and deletes the thread instantly. There's already at least fifty of each, no more , no more!

Anway, I think common forum threads pop up mostly because folk are lazy or have an ego. They don't want to add to the conversation already existing so they start their own, just to repeat what's already being said. Waste of bandwidth that could be wasted better.

Well, the rules say that you can't revive a thread that is over a month old. So if a similar thread has not been made that is less than a month old, you can make any topic that you want.

An easier solution would be to simply report the threads and not post in them.

To bad that doesn't solve anything and only encourages a troll to troll more.
