Poll: Community on steam

With the amount of people buying games on steam myself included (i know i have far too many at this point but the deals are just awesome) the question is for new and old users:
Do you use the community part at all e.g. the im service, the friends list/comments, groups/clans and the achievements, and whats your favorite thing about it?

I like how easy group chat is and the ability to join in friends games.

Yup, Goon4Dead Group and friends list mostly, to get games for l4d2 to talk with people and to save money by getting stuff gifted from cheaper regions.

Yeah I went on the steam forums a couple of times, the mods are dicks. I'm also in a few steam groups but never felt a need to communicate with them.

Steam is awesome. At first I thought that it's PoS but after getting used to it, I couldn't live without it.

Friends list is ofc the best thing. Simple but effective.

I use it loads, mostly with people from The Escapist.

I use Steam's community features a little bit, mostly just for joining friend's games and messaging them while I'm in game. For everything else though, me and my gaming buddies use Skype's conference abilities as our hangout. It works surprisingly really well.
