How many people joined this website because of him? Personally, I had never heard of The Escapist before someone showed me him. Although it was actually Doomsday Arcade that inspired me to get a profile.

I originally came to this site because of him, I joined because of the excellent articles.

Exactly. Nowadays I could care less about the reviews, because they are barely funny any more.

But he will still have an army of fans that will keep the traffic flowing into here, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

If I were Yahtzee, I would create an anonymous userid, come in a thread like this, brutally denigrate myself, and laugh as my peons lovingly and faithfully defended me from myself.

Then I would post a "mailbag showdown" type review about it.

My mother is in my family, there would be nothing odd about that. But you on the other hand are saying happy birthday too someone you don't even know. It's not the same thing.

And assuming Yahtzee sees this he probably won't even care.

I dont see me wishing him anything, but does it matter if fans wish him Happy Birthday? How often do people say congrats to strangers or celebrities for whatever? Does not make them fanboys/girls, and it does not mean they worship them either.
