Now, before I get started I just want to say one thing: I'm not taling about a Text Adventure game. Im talking about games that do what Heavy Rain do i.e allow the player to interact with the enviroment and characters in order to influence the experience of playing the game. That being said, I present you with Control.
Control is what you would get if you combined the fore-mentioned Heavy Rain and Resevoir Dogs with the style of Christopher Nolan. The story of Control is essentially a Caper Story focusing on a team of four professional (but very different) corporate sabateours and hitmen. The four are brought together/recruited by a multinational gaming corporation, who hire the team to locate and eliminate a former employee and retrieve the information he has stolen from a rival corporation.
As the story unfolds, the focus is kept on the four men, codenamed (in true Resevoir Dogs fasion) after the buttons on a Playstation control. We discover their relationships with their work, each other and the world around them. To do so you "quantum leap" between the four and play through the levels using either stealth, shooting, hand-to-hand combat or driving.
The characters themselves however have their own respective strength and weaknesses, thus forcing the player to innovate and find the best way to use the character in the circomstances. For example: How would you use a character best suited to hand-to-hand combat in a stealth orientated mission?
The gameplay is reminiscent of Heavy Rain and thus, your actions determine just how the story unfolds, hopefully creating a new experience everytime you play it.
One of the major focuses of the game would be the setting, Tokyo city.
Ok I really don't know what to write about now. Anyways that's my idea. What do you guys think? Any questions?
