-sigh-

I have used: 2 NES, 1 LightGun, 3 N64, 1 N64 driving wheel and pedals, 2 Gamecube, 4 Wii remotes and nunchucks, 2 keyboards and mice. All for gaming.

And none died on my watch, I still have all of them and they work.

But you were talking about current gen consoles... In that case, just the Wii remotes and they all still work.

I am 29 years of age and I've played alot of games on multiple systems. Do you REALLY want me to go through the list?
I'm thinking current gen consoles.
Still alot. I have alot of friends, and friends let friends game on their console here and there, so that's why even though I've owned a certain set of devices throughout my life and not all of them, I have some experience with a good deal of them from ANY generation.

2 for 360 2 for wii (plus classics, and numchucku attatchments) 2 for PS3

Then I still have my NES SNES N64 GameCube, PSX PS2(and I needed new controllers for the same damned port) Sega. With various standard, turbo, and arcade controllers for each.

Then I have a full flight sim setup with throttle and joystick that I've profiled to other games on my PC.

I'm a PC gamer, but I bought a 360 controller for Saints Row 2 and have since used it for Just Cause 2 and some shooters as well - I'm on a laptop so the mousepad isn't ideal. I'm still on my first, though it took a bit of a beating during an annoying section of Crysis last night...

Two, a standard controller for my PS2 and a game pad for my PC.

Had a PS1 controller too but a boxer/lawyer stole it.

I have the following controllers:

Mouse and Keyboard for pc gaming
3 official 360 pads (2white/1black)
4 official gamecube pads (2black/2purple)
2 official playstation 2 pads (both black)
2 official crystal original xbox pads
2 official Dreamcast pads

Other random old school pads for playstation and megadrive, can't remember how many.

I always tend to go for the official controllers, they always last longer and are less likely to break in general.

All I can say is, after using a keyboard and mouse combination for the first 14 years of my gaming career, the move to an XBOX 360 wireless controller was sheer bliss. Mainly because when I throw my hands up in the air after a particularly challenging boss fight, I don't drag half of my Dad's computer with me.

Even though I'm relatively new to the XBOX, I would only ever use official controllers, even if they do cost a bit more. All of the third party ones I've seen in the UK just feel so cheap and light next to the heft of the one I got with my console.

I've had a handfull of various first party controllers but the only one I've actually killed this gen was a third party and it started dying shortly after I started using it so I'm tempted to think it was just a dud to begin with. I'm pretty gentle on my controllers overall so I don't wear them out often.

I go through a lot of game pads, i'm on my second... or is it third? 360 pad atm. Definately 3rd. Although back when the PS2 was the hottest stuff in town i think i burned out like 8 pads. Some of that i will admit was from youthful nerd rage, slamming the pad on the floor when persistant difficulty rose before me.

Currently I have 5 Xbox 360 controllers and 3 headsets for me, one person. For my original Xbox I had 3 controllers. And I've had 2 mice for my PC.

I have 2 dualshock 3's for ps3 (and have a driver to fool the windows 360 controller driver into thinking they are 360 controllers, for trackmania, and l4d2 splitscreen)

And a 3rd party ps3 controller, which I'm not too fond of

My favorite controller is the playstation controller. I mean hell, it has been used for 3 generations of consoles. Kinda hard to turn your head at that.
