I've done it twice. Once during Drama back at school. and one just...well i was going to a 'drag night' party at my University's Student Union and was already drunk enough to think it was a good idea.

No, dude, any guy who wears girls clothing is pretty much gay... it really doesn't matter what your sexuality is, if you wear makeup/dresses/heels, you're gay in my book.
Then do care to explain my housemates from last year (we're talking 5 straight guys, 3 of whom have girlfriends) dressing in drag for a party?
I will...

You guys are all gay...

There, problem solved.
I'd like to see you explain that to their girlfriends...cause in actually I was the only gay guy in that house last year.
Not as far as I'm concerned...

Then you have some messed up definitions of different sexualities.

No I just think of the word gay as meaning "overly flamboyant" (in this case to an unnecessarily obnoxious degree).

All too often do we forget that gay is only slang for homosexual, and the definition of the word itself has evolved over time (and still does).

Ah, I get you now. I'm used to using the word 'camp' for the "overly flamboyant" type. Hearing someone say "gay" I just automatically assume they're calling someone a homo.

Also, for the purposes of discussion, I'd like to add that some odd 80% of male crossdressers are actually hetero, so any gay-bashing will NOT be tolerated.
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

How many gay people can you name that do it, then? Cause I haven't met any of them.
All of them are gay...

Protip: Gay doesn't mean homosexual anymore... it hasn't for a while.
Who decided that, you? Protip: while the meaning of words does change, you cannot whimsically decide that words mean something different when you feel like using them in a different way. "Gay" is "only slang" for homosexual in the same way that "rock and roll" is "only slang" for a certain type of music.

Done it on stage, in the round, including stripping off and putting on the costume in front of the audience.

And after that I still managed to scare the audience. Damn I make a good Lady MacBeth.

In camp once me and another guy put on a few clothing items of the girls in the room next to our room, and we walked around the house the rooms of everyone were.

Needless to say, we got a lot of attention. Two guys a lot older than us (at the time) even wooed us on and said we were really sexy.

Kind of...weird, but it was pretty easy to deduce that they were being sarcastic.

Amusingly, most of my shirts are men's in that they came without the curve generally needed to fit a female adult. On my body, it's impossible for them to remain men's because I have such an extreme curve from waist and middle-back to hips and backside. I also wear men's pants occasionally, but it's difficult to find sizes that fit me.

At some point, I have every intention of dressing in a tux and bribing my partner to dress in well, a dress, and probably a corset to get a more feminine figure, then go out to dinner for shits and giggles. It would be fantastic.

I have always disliked the concept that skirts are strictly female wear. It's amazing just how good a male backside can look in something a-line, form fitting, preferably pinstripe. It can really accentuate the delightful curve that a good man's arse possesses. I've also heard many good things about the breezy options of more free-flowing skirtwear. As for makeup, it would depend on the face, but I argue the same for women. Eyeliner is certainly not out of place on pale guys with darker eyelashes. To be fair I prefer the more feminine male facial structure anyway, but that's just me. I have found some more typically 'masculine' faces which are attractive, and can be so easily accentuated with some degree of makeup.

As for long hair... I'm very VERY biased towards it. On whomever looks good in it, which I believe to be most people.

I've gone to a party as a fairy once. I won the purely informal 'best costume' regards. To be fair, that fairy was Cosmo though...

Nope. I've thought about it, largely because of my androgynous (read: ridiculously skinny) frame and that "I'd be pretty believable as a trap." 'Course I'd stand out as ridiculously tall for a woman, as most men do.

But I've never actually done it, seems a bit pricey for a bit of a gag.
I fall into the androgynous field myself. I've had my gender mistaken many times, sometimes at family gatherings, which is always good fun in an awkward way.

But I'm a very formal-dressing person surrounded by very casual-dressing people, and very self-conscious. I don't think I'll be crossdressing anytime soon, but by local standards I have much more feminine tastes than masculine.

I don't think cross dressing is as big of a deal for girls. I have a few men's shirts and one pair of pants and the only difference between them is how fitted they are.

No. I saw my 10 year old brother do it. For the rest of the year I called him:
Easy Listening
Princess Peach
Pretty in pink

Ah, it was soooooo fun.

Sure I wore a cross once but it was a necklace.

OT: Did it once for an ex girlfriend's request. Not really that appealing to be honest.

Just the once. It was a Rocky Horror theme night in Edinburgh. I was Janet. A dude tried to chat me up- I quickly and succinctly explained the situation to him and moved on. Thinking back I could probably have gotten a free drink out of it first.
