Killstreak rewards pre-date CoD by years, let alone killstreaks as a concept.
Plenty of Mods of UT, CS and so on added such mechanics.

And hey, MW2 stole ideas from a MW1 mod without even acknowledging the creator.

no offence but isnt Cod 4 copying Cod3 and 2 and 1? witch is copying medal of honor
That's like saying Crysis 2 copied Crysis 1 or Killzone 3 copied 1 and 2. They're just different games in the series.
Yea, I guess you could say they're copying Medal Of Honor. But that's the SHooter genre in general. We're saying Crysis 2 is copying Cod4's gameplay mechanics, due to the killstreaks and other such stuff.
So you think it's wrong to add a thing that is very popular and (I'm assuming) a lot of people find funny just cause another game had it?

Well for one, CoD4 came out before the others. Plus, it's the first CoD game to utilize those kinds of killstreaks. Radar, Airstrike, and Air Support.

Why does everyone "assume" everything?
No, I didn't say it's wrong to add a thing that's very popular. It's ridiculous how people get so defensive over their games.
Sheesh.

Oh my bad I thought I was arguing against the person that said

"Every multiplayer video I've seen made it look like Call of Duty with dumbed down nano suits (compared to the original Crysis). I don't yell "omgz cod clone!!!11" every time a shooter comes out, but this one, really, they are taking it straight from CoD4. I'm not trying to troll, or start a flame war, or anything any more than any of you are. But whatever, have fun with your CoD clone..."

I'm sorry I mistook you for being him/she

You fail to consider that there is a whole suit mode, weapon and perk that all promote camping.

It does what it's meant to pretty well, but there is one HUGE improvement that should be made. Activating a killstreak reward should use up the dogtags you've collected. /balanced

I'll buy it, even if it is a CoD clone. Included some videos of Multiplayer, I'll let everyone else decide.

After watching the first vid I have no clue how anyone could consider this a cod clone.

Oh, I'm sorry, my mistake in thinking a game that looks more like Call of Duty 4 than Crysis, with its kill streaks at... wait... kill streaks? Those weren't in Crysis? Hmm... anyway, kill streaks:

3 Kills - Radar. Hmm... radar for 3 kills, that sounds familiar...
5 Kills - Orbital Strike. Could that, oh I dunno, be like an airstrike? Nah...
7 Kills - Airship. You mean it calls in air support that shoots the enemy? Wow.

Every multiplayer video I've seen made it look like Call of Duty with dumbed down nano suits (compared to the original Crysis). How fucking ignorant do you have to be to think that the new CoD games invented killstreaks? Not directing this at you alone, as there have been several people misinformed. There were a TON of games will killstreaks before MW came to be. Just because it's popular doesn't mean that it's the origin of jack shit. Other than having high production values, MW, MW2, and Black Ops didn't do ANYTHING new. So you can't copy features from a game which copied features from other games. Give credit where credit is due to the true origins of features.
I never said Call of Duty was first at it, I'm just saying if they are going to copy it, they could be a little less obvious, and that it was never in the original. The same exact bonuses for the same exact number of kills? Really? At least change the kill numbers up or something.

If you're going to copy killstreaks, you should copy Homefronts. They more punish you than reward you...

'

If they added one more kill for everything people would still stay it copied it from Cod since it you remove one kill its the same amount of kills.

I think its the fact that the killstreaks are the EXACT sme as CODs.

Maximum Radar= UAV
Orbital Strike=Predator Missile
Airship=Harrier/Attack Helicopter.

KZ3 has 'killstreaks' but they are unique. Kill 10 people without aiming own sights? You get to reload faster. Kill 5 people with melee? Get increased accuracy. They could have made the killstreaks in Crysis be armor abilities that enhance your invisibility or armor mode. Not copy and paste killstreaks from COD

So you have to physically walk over the dead body to pick it up? That sucks for snipers though...
Not really, a good sniper never stays in the same spot for more than a few kills at the most. It makes him easy to locate and then kill with a shotgun.

Also, can you pick up the dog tags of enemies that you haven't killed, but the killer never bothered to get? And is it just me or are the captchas getting longer?

I'm starting to think of getting Crysis 2 because of this mechanic. It will greatly lower campers and snipers in multiplayer, the bane of my existence.

To completely ignore the flame war above me...
i think it's the stealth mode, not dog tags that decrease camping, ive only encountered two campers and both were taken out with stealth kills, or just surprise shotgun blasts.

also i think shotguns are a bit overpowered too. with the speed you can move at it's ridiculously easy to sprint at someone 50 meters away and two shot kill them before they realise what's happening

but i suppose it's still not unbalanced if everyone can do it from the get go though

I think that dog tags aren't the primary anti-camping force, but that the level design itself and spawn points are a bigger force.
If you don't move someone will eventually come behind your back,
and even the kill cam is doing great work to show you where the enemy that killed you was hiding.
