But i havnt a clue what it means, so i thought i would ask you guys!
Also, i wanted to see who of you guys play D&D or DDO, and what you think about them.

First, delete it completely off your computer. Next re-install it and I suggest just downloading the installer instead then clicking on it or if you did that just hit run. If that doesn't work check the D@D website forums for help.

Anyways goodluck.

So as far as I can tell, that error tells you the program did not give you the right reaction to the button you clicked, and since it didn't find the one object it was supposed to, the whole chain of events supposed to come after it segfaulted in line.

You're probably missing a file. Redownload, reinstall. If still no worky, tell the devs.

Yeah it is an odd program with shell executables tied into it such as pando. Honestly your better bet for tech support would be the turbine forums where you can locate similar issues from their search bar.

I remember installing it, and it being a less than flawless experience, so Im thinking what your exp might be par for the course. But As with any sort of software problems, it usually gets fixed with persistance more than anything else. So keep working at it till it works.

OT: from the error message, my best guess would be a problem with the launchpad patcher. As Someone else mentioned, file errors tend to have a domino effect, so the key root is to look at what started the mess in the first place and that seems to be in the first line indicated to be the patcher.

More OT: As for the game itself. It definitely does have a cool vibe to it. Its truly does feel more like a game of DnD than an atypical MMO. It has the pretty much standard "we ...borrowed this idea from blizzard, such as instance difficulty options. The early quests I saw were actually fairly well written and I was surprised by the level of voice acting.

Its strength is definitely the ties and DnD vibe, but the problem is that it tends to get lost in translation because the true joy of DnD resides in the social sitting there arguing semantics over rules and how the game plays out sort of socialization that is next to impossible if not entirely to reproduce in an MMO setting. (I guess if you have voice chat servers + a core of friends who have all agreed to play you might be able to get some of that effect but given the streamlined nature of pen and paper RPGs doing the complex stuff automatically I tend to doubt it)

Now one other thing I would say. I played the F2P incarnation, which honestly was good and gave a fair amount of content to work through, but if your going to do it, your best bet is to at least pay one month for it on a subscription and let it expire back to f2p in order to get some base benefits like auction expansion and the like.

Id say its as good as many of the other p2p MMOs out there, its certainly polished, but personally I couldnt see paying for it, and at the same time, I couldnt stick with it because of the lack of the p2p features.
