So, who here plays Dungeons and Dragons? I haven't played it for long now (A year, maybe two) but I play, and it's a lot of fun. I'm not hardcore in the basement with cardboard swords, but I play a few times a month.

No but I've always been intrigued by it, me and a couple of friends from Uni are trying to set up our own P&P RPG though which is going quite well. Just need to sort out a balanced magic system.

I love D&D!! but when i play with my friends we tend to not follow the books and make-up our own monsters, we used to play by the complete rules but it took too long and we always forgot to make our characters eat and sleep.

Yes sir, I'm a local Dungeon Master.

LARPing is actually awesome, if you give it a shot with some competent folk. That being said, I do enforce a rule of speaking in character whilst in-group and telling me when you're breaking character(Or else you say it in-game).

Heh, I'm a dedicated Roleplayer, I've played/run everything from DnD and Star Wars to strange little game systems you have to order from Print on Demand Sites.

Nope, but I sure wish I did. I even have a few D&D campaign setting books. *sigh* Ahh, perhaps some day... And I would absolutely *love* to do a LARP, that would be just the pinnacle of awesomeness (and geekyness too, I guess, but I'm okay with that).

Some friends and I have been doing a campaign for a year or so now-- they've been into DnD for a while now but this has been my first one. We try to meet weekly but it tends to be more like bi-monthly.

We're not very "hardcore"-- we play using a Dry Erase Marker Board that has a big grid on it and draw whatever dungeon settings we need. Generally we use whatever we can find as characters-- coins and dice or whatever is lying around. Still, it's fun stuff. My level 6 human druid is quite the beast. ;-)

Yes. I'm actually going back to visit friends and family this long weekend, and a bunch of us are coming back to play a one off session of D&D. I'm really looking forward to playing around with my new Acme Magician.

I'm still hoping that we can squeeze in an All Flesh Must Be Eaten session, but that might be difficult since more characters would have to be created.

Yes. I'm more likely then not to join my friend's campaign this summer.

Although it's a newbie campaign (which suits me, I'm somewhat new to P&P D&D) and so far we're getting way too many people, more than 6, about 1/3 of them complete strangers to me which probably doesn't suit me considering that I only really come together with my friends on somewhat few things.

3.5 edition, of course.
