Which do you prefer to using in games(that give you a choice)?

I find myself more often than not using a analong stick.

For 2-d games the D-pad is a must.

However, for 3-d gaming the precision you need can only be had by a joystick.

I've grown quite accustomed to the analog stick over the years. I do still remember when I preferred the D-Pad though. Those were fun days...

Not sure.

If im given a choice for control style i look to the game.

For fighters i like the analog stick.
For games like SRPGs i like the D-Pad for more controlled movement.

I use a keyboard and a mouse. More precise than analog if you are used to it, and like a D-pad with 26+ directions (not going to bother to count, thats close enough).

For fighting games, the D-Pad.
For everything else, I've gotten used to dualshock.

I actually really like the D-pad. Sometimes it doesn't work for certain games but I like it better. No D-pad ever hurt my thumb...

I use the analog stick for every game except MGS1, which was made for the d-pad so it makes sense.

I much prefer the analog sticks. I don't like it when I can't use them.

keyboard and mouse :D

Although for racing games and any game where I'm expected to drive a car at fast speeds, then analog controls are a must.

I use the D-pad for fighters, and that's it. I never liked it. I still remember the old NES controllers. I used to play so much I would put it down and I couldn't move my thumbs they hurt so much.

I so switched to Duck Hunt for a while while they recoverd. =D
