I was playing halo the other day, and during a living dead game I had just been killed by a zombie. We killed each other, but technically he killed me first, so it counted as a betrayal because I was switched to his team just as my bullets hit, and he booted me.
I have a hard time understanding the logic behind that kind of boot. Was it simply because he wanted to thin the competition? Or was he mad that I had killed him too?
I never boot a player unless it's obvious they are making an effort to be overly offensive or teamkillers. But I notice people start booting as a reflex, and it has gotten annoying to be in a match and loose half your team when a guy boots a rocket-toting member of a large party; simply because he was in the middle of a group of enemies that got exploded.
In a TEAM ROCKETS match, it has to be expected that there will be friendly fire, but almost every game people are booted for that reason.
I certainly understand the frustration of being teamkilled, but I don't think it's fair to boot the first time.
What are my fellow escapists' thoughts on this?
