So, I just picked up this album today by Pink Floyd....and I have to say that it is awesome.

And I came to wonder if anyone else likes it...and what they're favourite song is from the album.

Since there's nine songs and only eight options for the poll, you will have to reply with your response.

EDIT : I think my favourite is Money...

You know out of the two people that have said they do like it, they haven't said their favourite song...

I think they were only massivly popular because most of the world was on shrooms at that time.

Good album, though not their best album in my opinion. Actually, when compared to their other works, I don't hold the album in that high regard. The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Meddle, Wish You Were Here, Animals, I rank all these higher than DSotM. Still, that's not because the album is lacking, there's just very good competition. A damn fine album by an awesome band.

My favorite songs are the three last ones. Any Color You Like is probably PF's best instrumental track, short but incredibly sweet. Brain Damage is very cool, and Eclipse ends the album wonderfully.

As Mysterious as the Dark Side of the Moooooon...

Eh, what, this isn't a Mulan or Disney songs thread? Aww...

OT, I've never really gotten into Pink Floyd, but my father likes them, and plays this album a fair bit, so I've heard it. I guess my favourite song off there (or, to be more precise, the song I mind least) is probably a tie between Brain Damage and Eclipse.

Dude, it totally syncs up with the Wizard of Oz. Try it. It will blow your mind.

But seriously, that's an epic album. They really explored how different music could be, yet still sounds great. You'd be hard pressed to find a musician these days who doesn't list Pink Floyd as an influence.

Uhhh.... Must have been the same with the beatles, stones, hendrix etc.

No, pink floyd are an intense experience, probably not the music I listen to most, but definately my all time favorite. They are the only band I started listening to as a kid and still like as an adult.

I like "Breathe" from dark side, can't get enough of that slide guitar or whatever it is, the song just makes me feel mellow and relaxed.

EDIT: Actually I'd tie Breathe and Any Colour You Like.

Only got "Money" and "Time" from that album and that's enough for me. Other than that I can't say much since my only relation to Pink Floyd is that I think "Comfortably Numb" is the best guitarsolo ever.

Yes, I love Pink Floyd and really enjoy the album. My favorite song on the album is probably Money, though my favorite by them is Comfortably Numb.

Love Pink Floyd. Everone even remotely interested in them should at least own Echoes.
