So, I just read a lot about darksiders after being interested for a little while (i heard a lot of adverts because it sponsors stargate on tv), and I have noticed a few things.
Basically, it is God of War for one. A lot of people have already said this, and various reviewers have tried to give it its own credit, but failed.
What annoys me most about the game is the soul system:
Blue souls = currency
Yellow souls = rage meter
Green souls = health
Gain orbs by killing shit.
Every single review I have read has called this system "unique" and "innovative" in its design.
Am I the only one who has played God of War!? This system is identical, bar the colours, to God of War. Then, the next "unique" feature mentioned is always the fact that you can upgrade stuff with currency orbs during the game by pausing and going to a certain menu.
The God of War clone-li-ness doesn't end there, but what gets me most is that people seem oblivious to it.
Anyone else have anything they REALLY hate about the marketing of darksiders?
