I'm picked up Bayonetta today, I'll see about getting Darksiders from Gamefly, I'm not going to buy something I've never heard anything about, I've made that mistake before *shudders* Haze *shudders*. But seriously, bayonetta had me hooked from the first level when your in the graveyard killing angels while the song "Fly me to the moon" is playing.

I think it looks pretty good. My friend's been raving on about it for like the past three months, so I've been hearing plenty about it.
And due to the fact that I now have quite a bit of expendable cash, I'll definitely be checking it out.

I'm thinking about getting it. The Zelda franchise has always been my favorite series of video games, and this looks like Zelda with a few other interesting mechanics thrown in- enough so that it isn't a pointless carbon copy. However, I don't usually bring my 360 to college with me, and as this looks like a game I'd rather have on 360 than PC (I don't even know if there is a PC version, though if there were, I do think that I could run it), I'm going to have to wait until my next break to check it out, as I'll be heading back to school soon.

I would like to buy it but am saving up money at the moment so I can buy a new drum kit. I will probably rent it as soon as possible though.

if your serious about that, its best described as a zelda type game for adults with a dmc/gow style of combat, or so ive heard from the reviews.

So like, I'm looking forward to this game, but I've seen nothing about Darksiders that is even remotely adult. Maybe if gracious violence, swords, guns, and a horse that is on fucking fire is the definition of 'for adults' nowadays (who am I kidding, that was always the definition).

I just don't think that Zelda can be written of as 'for kids' so easily, just because it's not extreme.
i agree if you are talking about the real zelda, meaning the link from the old games and twilight princess. Any game with the new cartoon link has been complete shit imo. so now that i have played darksiders i may be abandoning future zelda games and replacing them with future darksiders games. at least until nintendo comes to their senses and makes a new game with the real link. lol sorry i cant say "nintendo comes to their senses" without laughing.

The two sources I trust have yet to come out with a review.
Step one: Get the review from Gametrailers and the review from the Escapist (The actual reviews, not zero punctuation)

Step 2: Average the two scores. (You need to pay close attention to figure out what score on a 10 point scale the Escapist is hinting at despite not providing)

Step 3: Based on the genre add or remove the appropriate number of points (If it goes over 10 it is still a ten but it is important to keep track of the number for step 4..)

Step 4: Based on the developer (Not publisher. EA and Activision are publishers, don't start making jokes aboot them) add or remove the appropriate number of points. (Scores above ten will be treated as ten. Scores below one will be treated as one.)
And there you have it kids! The actual quality of a game.
i agree with gametrailers and the escapist being the most reliable sources but i usually add g4tv.com to that list as well. however after after playing the game for about 3 hours now i would give it a 8.8 out of 10. one word of advice, play on hard difficulty because normal is way to easy

Off topic here, but I pretty strongly disagree with you. Link was always a little kid and once they started making adult link in games I felt they went far downhill.

i may be wrong but im pretty sure link was portrayed as more of a teenager than a little kid in his earlier games. but regardless of his appearance i just plain didnt like the gameplay in the games that feature cartoon link. especially the ones on the ds, i mean who want to control link with a stylus?

im sorry but controlling movement with touch controls is never a good idea, its inaccurate, unnecessary, and awkward. if you say you enjoy it thats fine but imo it doesnt come close to using the d-pad and for me makes the game unplayable. and believe me i love the zelda series and have really tried to enjoy these game, but the controls are just....bad

I didn't really have a problem with it. I suppose the dpad would have been better perhaps, but I was ok with the touch screen.

But we digress. To each their own.

Zelda's had so many art styles over the years it's nigh on impossible to call anything the 'real' Zelda.

But whatever, this topic is about Darksiders.
