Yes it is, Monty Oum is his name.GamesB2 said:Isn't this the same guy who made Haloid?
I love his work at any rate, he's really talented.
He also did the animation for Red Vs Blue Revelation, where agent Tex beats the shit out of everyone.GamesB2 said:Isn't this the same guy who made Haloid?

Hi Shakaar9267, next time could you add a bit more discussion value to your thread please?, it makes the forums stilted if people just post videos or pictures because we have nothing to talk about then!shakaar9267 said:Yes it is, Monty Oum is his name.GamesB2 said:Isn't this the same guy who made Haloid?

Can you delete my other topic? I screwed it up and I can't delete it myself. Sorry.
I looked him up on Wikipedia and it says he was hired by 'Rooster Teeth Productions' in late 2009. These are the same people who do the Halo series 'Red v.s. Blue'. However you are still right. After that he was working for Midway before he got offered a job at Namco, where he's at now.Eduku said:I followed him from some of his earlier animations (before he got his name from Haloid), and he's massively improved since then. I think these projects are very impressive, seeing as it's all from one person.
Last I heard he said Dead Fantasy 6 wouldn't be until 2011 though, he seems quite busy (I think he works for Namco Bandai now or something).
Thank you very much. What I fine interesting is that he dropped out of high school and is a 'self-taught' animator.ColdStorage said:Deleted as requested buddy, and no need to apologise.shakaar9267 said:Understood.

I must say these videos are pretty awesome, he's one talented guy, he makes me jealous that I can't do 3d graphics rendering and animation and its even worse that even if I could, I don't have his imagination for such outrageous scenes.
That has yet to be said. So far Monty has announced up to Dead Fantasy 9, with the story unfolding a little more with each episode. I'm think it will be 7 or 8 that will answer most of the questions.aquaman839 said:Why are they fighting? I mean it looks great, but I feel that question has to be asked.

You can sometimes tell that, his animation is different with his trademark "speed ups" and zooming in to mask some non human movements.shakaar9267 said:Thank you very much. What I fine interesting is that he dropped out of high school and is a 'self-taught' animator.

Storage, you're probably the nicest mod I've ever seen in my entire Internet life.
Ever.
I mean, hell, "could you read the Posting Guidelines for me, please"? Awesome.
OT: Haven't exactly seen any of those, but I have seen Haloid and the RVB stuff - those were amazing.
So I'll probably have some watching to do at some point.
When I'm not lazy.
