I'm not trying to be mean or anything here...but when was the PSP ever at the top =/ from what I've been aware of the DS has been dominating the handheld market since release

No its quite alive, great games such as Phantasy Star Portable 2 has been released, and with Monster Hunter Freedom 3 that is coming out next year (this year in JP) the psp will never die.

It's not dead, it's still around and it's still getting kick ass game after kick ass game lately. Blame Sony for their crappy marketing, the thing has sold over 60 million units and is pretty damn popular in Japan. It's less 'dead' and more simply overshadowed in my opinion.

And it has Metal Gear solid content. Finally you can be snake wielding a giant ass buster sword or a cat dressed up like snake creeping around in a box XD Guess kojima and Capcom had some deal going on between their respective game given how Peace Walker had monster hunter content.
