If you don't already know, Capcom is releasing a 2 hour prequel to Dead Rising 2 called Case Zero. It costs 400 microsoft points, and comes out before Dead Rising 2. In Case Zero, Chuck Greene (main character in the second game) is driving away from a zombie infested Vegas with his daughter. But when his car is stolen, and he learns that the town he is in now is going to be bombed, he must find a way out of the town, and find Zombrex (a drug that postpones the zombie transformation) for his daughter.

The game will let you gain experience and items from this game, and bring them into Dead Rising 2. So it is sort of like a payed demo with bonus material for the next game.

AND IT COMES OUT TOMORROW

So, are you going to get it?

I'm going to get Case Zero because
1. I love Dead Rising
2. It's pretty cheap
3. I think that the camera is a little funky looking in Dead Rising 2, and this could make sure.

With a name like that I think I'd rather chew glass.
Mmmmmm, glass...

lol jk

I guess the title is a little weird.
It's GREAT in soup! =D

I dunno about the game, but the title just seems akin to called a shooter "Boom Whiz Kapow: The Shootening."

It takes after the Split-Second: Velocity school of naming.
I LOVE "BOOM WHIZ KAPOW!"

Where's the 'Fuck DLC' option?
I don't think it counts as DLC because it comes out BEFORE Dead Rising 2.

I think it's more like an arcade game/demo

I-i-i-i-i-i'm pretty sure that's DLC.

What would it still be DLC?

Maybe it's PGDLC

Pre-game DLC

I'll probably just get the free version and if it's any good, I'll buy the game. Paying 400 points for an extended demo seems like a waste to me.

I learned when the first assassins creed came out my lesson of just buying games when they first come out based only on their popularity or franchise status. This is a rent first buy later situation. I will definately give it a shot though.

EDIT oh shit, I thought you all were talking about Dead rising 2. Must read first then comment. Sorry. In that case probably not.

I see what you mean, but I don't think you can "rent" it. Technicly it's DLC, just before the game comes out.

By free version, do you mean trial?

The free download of Case Zero is meant to be the demo for Dead Rising 2. However, if players choose to pay 400 Microsoft Points, they get to experience a much larger story.

Oh, if you meant Dead Rising 2, then sure, you make more sense.

It´s not demo. It´s an arcade game with Similarities to Dead rising 2. Therefor, it is called Dead rising 2: Case zero, instead of Dead rising 2. I wish people could get that clear.

If it comes out tomorrow then HECK YEA!!! I love Dead Rising 1 and I have all the achievements, including the one where you have to play infinity mode for 14 hours straight without dying. Thank you so much for letting me know this is coming out!!! I'm not taking my xbox to college and so I was going to miss the launch of DR2 but this looks great!

So the free version is just a demo, but the payed version is like an advanced demo with extra stuff.

interesting

I played the first and found it extremely tedious. It's a good concept, I just don't like the way it's done.

I quoted a news story. What's your source?

You do know that this is not Dead Rising 2, just Case Zero. But yeah, you'll get a bit more of the Dead Rising experience.
