Ok, so this is a follow-up to my previous thread [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.305955-Poll-Deadliest-Warrior-Sci-Fi-Troops-Human], which involved sci-fi human soldiers from a variety of franchises. But yeah, basically, which candidate do you believe to be superior to all the others? Who would win in an all-out fight?

.
.

A few ground rules:

1) It can be assumed that each candidate has full access to any standard-issue equipment he or she could generally expect to be deployed with (weaponry, armour, tools, etc), but nothing else.

2) Each candidate stands alone, without any external support of any kind.

3) If you can, explain why you think the candidate that you chose wins.

4) If you think I've left something important out, or think the options are shitty and could be better, PM me (I always keep one slot open). Note that I've deliberately omitted anything I consider to be too powerful, and have tried to keep the playing field relatively level.

.
.

Here are the candidates:

I: Ork Boy (Warhammer 40k)

II: Super Battle Droid (Star Wars)

III: Predator (Predator)

IV: Sangheili (Halo)

V: Theron Guard (Gears of War)

VI: Geth Trooper (Mass Effect)

.
.

Like before, I'm really interested to see what the outcome will be!

Well, you added a Warhammer 40K unit in there, so automatically he becomes the one to beat, if anyone can defeat him, they will win, if no one can, he will win.

But compared to the Orc, the other guys are kinda... flimsy, when you consider that Orcs are complete damage sponges, and rediculously strong, (I don't think anyone here has the defence to withstand a few whacks of their powersword thing) so they'll have to take them out using ranged means. The other enemies would have to employ some serious firepower to bring them down:

The droid would have no chance, the elite would put up a bit of a fight, but be overpowered easily, I don't know enough about the Theron or Geth to look at them, but I think the predator stands a really good chance with his invisibility and his mix of plamsa and physical weapons. The buzz-saw disk thing would be particuarly devastating, and the Ork can't kill what it can't find.

So I'm gonna say Predator.

The deal with the Ork is that he's outmatched by everyone else at range. Physically though, he's one of the best.

Usually I would automatically choose anything from the 40K series but the orks dont have much going for the except toughness and pure numbers. So since it's all 1 on 1 the Ork doesnt have a chance.

I gotta say the Predator, the same fealessness the Orks have but waaaaaaay better technology and training. Without a doubt the Predator would win in this free-for-all.

Predator by a mile. Invisibility + nukes if he does somehow lose = nobody wins, but the Pred gets the highest K/D ratio. ^_^

The Predator and a Sangheili in a close-quarters fight would be a decent fight. However, the Predator has far more weapons and thus would win.

Others lose easily.

I'm thinking a Sangheili would win out of these. They're the alien versions of ancient Spartans, but on crack. Active camo, weapons that fire superheated plasma, regenerating shields, and even an energy sword? I think ol' Arby would give a Predator a run for his money, not to mention most other forms of infantry.

This has to go to the Predator. Not only is he fast and strong, but he has a huge arsenal of weaponry. In addition, because of his hunter mentality, he waits until his prey is at its weakest, and then strikes and even if its a straight up fight, the Predator has the strength and durablity to stand toe to toe with any other thing on the list.

As a long time Predator fan its the obvious choice. They are very fast and strong have a huge arsenal of weapons.

Pfft...

In the category of robots and aliens, that which is a robot and alien wins by default.

So I will ignore your options and select Borg. It might default on rule two but the Borg can take out any of these.

While they may not be fast, but their technologically superior plus they operate on a zombie attack pattern (overwhelm and assimilate)

LOL.. really. Im just being silly as this is not a thread for serious conversation.
