So i was wondering today how many of you write your daily day-to-day lives in diaries .

Personally I'm not letting anyone know my secrets even a book.

Secrets I keep are best forgotten, Thats why I'm good at keeping secrets. So no. If i did have a diary, it'd consist of random drawings on the pages.

I always found diary's rather silly. I mean unless your anyone important, why write you're probably uninteresting life-story if no-one will give a shit in the future.

I tried to, but every entry ended up something like this:

Dear Diary,

Today I went to work. Afterwards I played video games.

And no, I did not have sex with anyone today, but I have a good feeling about tomorrow : )
I quickly stopped.

"Dear Diary. Today I tried to master the art of writing nouns in plural forms. I failed, attempting to do it tomorrow."

I started writing one when I didn't have any internet for a few days. Then I got my internet back and stopped.

Interesting that.

Hah. I hadn't even noticed that. Probably due to my subconsciously ignoring Polls these days. I never vote in them, so I've just stopped reading them these days.

Not really a diary so much as subjective documenting, but i think everyone does that. For example I'll save skype conversations I think are funny or jot down quotes and such in notepad, but that's really the closest thing to a "diary" I have.

Harsh, but yeah it's "diaries", not "diary's".

Not really, but I keep a daily planner that I write in a made-up language, so anyone who sees it always thinks "What kind of dark, magical secrets are in this book?" The answer: 'Don't forget to feed the dog. Return movie to Blockbuster.'

I don't have a diary for the same reason most people haven't got one.

Imagine how dull your life is... Now imagine writing how dull your life is... Now imagine reading back 10 years later about how dull your life is.

Seriously my entry for the day would go like this:

Got up. Got toast. I like toast. Fucking toaster fucking burnt fucking bread. watched tv since it's weekend. lunch time. went to town. got lunch. fucking £2.60 for a sandwich. Robbed store. Regreted not taking more than sandwich. Got home. Went on internet. went on xbox. Tea. continued on xbox. went on internet, escapist. Realised how dull my life was when posed a simple question in a thread. Made noose.

Funny thing is, a lot of people probably don't realize they keep diaries. That is, twitting/blogging. Basically the same thing (or similar).

That said, no (both to diaries and twitter). The only "diary" I keep is in my head...

No, I have better things to do before I go to sleep like read a book. It's like saying Dear myself, i'm going to tell myself what I did today because I will find it an interesting story I have never witnessed before, it will be so good I will never look back at it until someone steals it and looks at and I will pretend I didn't want them to steal it but I did.

No, never did, never will.

I don't want anyone to know what I do or think. If I did, I'd tell people. Which I don't, because I don't trust people, but that's besides the point.
So creating a diary would be counter-productive.

People who holds diaries, statistically get sick more often...

Also my life is pretty boring and I don't want people to be able to find out my thoughts that easily.

I dont keep the sort of diary that you fill out every day... rather, when i feel like it i open up a new document on ms word and write down whats happend to me and how i feel about these events.

I've only started doing it since coming to university for two reasons. One, my MSN is not working, so i don't talk to my old friends who i'm used to confiding and sharing my personal thoughts and feelings with. Two, there are not many people here at Uni who i open up with and talk on a personal level with. So expressing my emotions, anxieties, thoughts and fears is rather hard here at university, so i end up expressing myself to a laptop...
