so after having seen the "résumé" of the faq of it's forum:

DEUS EX 3 GAME SUMMARY:
A huge cyberpunk story with conspiracies.
Non-linear, multi-path, multi-solution gameplay.
Different ways to solve any objective depending on your play style (social, hacking, stealth or action).
Character and weapon customisation.
Action/RPG just like the first game.
Choices and consequences.
A semi-open world approach to levels and missions.
Different characters to meet and interact with.
An inventory system similar to DX1.
It's not a sandbox. It's not totally linear. It's like the best of both of those approaches.
Random explorable elements with earned experience points.
Global travel.

And knowing it will be released on Spring 2010 !!! i don't want to be too anxious about it cause my imagination might ruin it.

so my point is, will it be worth waiting for?
your turn:

I'm confused about the discussion point, but whatever.
I have a feeling it won't live up to the first one at all, because that's what sequels do. And because the second one was terrible.

I've heard that the lead director of Deus Ex 3 found the first game boring with "too much dialogue". Hence the introduction of a third person cover mechanic and regenerating health system.

It's a prequel, and if the technology in the prequel surpasses that of the time period in the original game I'll hate it, cos it won't make sense. That's all that could ruin it though. That and a terrible story, or awful voice acting.

Let's just hope they put the original theme song at the beginning. Nostalgia will win you some easy approval points.

I don't think the developers understood what made Deus Ex a great game.

Deus Ex was awesome because at the time, nothing could do what Deus Ex did as well as Deus Ex did it. Now we have the same things Deus Ex did in spades in every other game.

I'll probably get this game, because I like ARPGs. I'll probably like it more than some, mainly because I never played the first one.

It is true I've got the PC gamer where he says it right here. He also says they're removing ALL RPG elements from combat to have Rainbow Six style combat.

Oh and they have decided not to have it cyberpunk. I am not fucking kidding they've taken out the cyberpunk.

Can I change my vote? What the hell is the point if they take out the cyberpunk? That was over half the story of DX1 alone! A prequel could have amped it up with the whole no nanoware thing. I mean seriously? Do we really need another Halo clone?

Ah yes. The game that could map a function to every single key on my keyboard. I'm all for complexity but man, simplify the interface. It's like a flight simulator.

I am however, awaiting this, even if it does have health regen.

And yet the same people who are making this bashed DX1 and took out the RPG elements that made that game good, and added Gears Of War to it. So now we've got Deus Ex Of War.

Fuck you Eidos Montreal. Fuck you. Where are you, Warren? Come back to us, I'm still waiting on those moon levels...

EDIT: Ninja'd, but I should have paid attention.

No now, see you're gonna have to show me something or I just can't believe you. I knew coming on this thread would just exacerbate my rage.
