Good evening all, I am going to buy the new Deus Ex, but cannot decide on PC or 360 version. Please help me out Escapists!

My machine is pretty much this:

Which I know is a fairly weak set up, but has brought me through some good times including ME2, DA2, Ass Creed: Bro (barely!) and other fairly recent games on a medium setting.

I normally prefer PC for RPGs, but do you think it will chug too much? Will I be able to play without thinking "they haven't improved the graphics since the first one"?

Well, I suppose DXHR WILL run on this machine, so as a PC-gaming adept I'd stick with it :)

I think it will chug quite badly.

However, I'd still recommend PC since you always have the option of playing it on another computer later.

I found that while the stealth works just fine with a controller, I really needed to use kb+mouse if I decide to shoot everything that moves.
The firefights are so lethal that getting hit a couple extra times is often fatal.

If it's somewhere in the rage you like, go for pc.

It will run fine on your laptop, I got nearly the same stuff on my desktop PC and it's all smooth.
Just a reminder this game is primarily a stealth shooter with some RPG elements, so decide where you prefer to play those.

If you're used to PC gaming I'd get it on PC, unless it would literally have the graphics of the first one and chug like a *****, in which case get it on 360 but turn controller sensitivity right up. I'm a console gamer and even I found the standard setting pretty sluggish.

I'd say to try the, *ahem* "demo" to see how it performs before deciding. For the most part, the final release runs the same. If that's not up your alley, I'd say probably get it for the 360. If/when you get around the upgrading your PC, DX:HR's price will probably have dropped enough that it won't cost too much (plus there's always Steam sales).
