What is your opinion on this show and it's seasons?

I've only seen Season 1, which was fantastic.

I have seen a couple of episodes and I thought they were pretty good.

Season 1 was awesome

Season 2 started out alright, but then turned to suck very quickly.

All signs are pointing towards S3 being a suckload of suck, so I think I'll avoid it like the sucking plague.

Season 1 was based on Darkly Dreaming Dexter, while Season 2 was an entirely new story, which could account for the sudden drop in quality.

I've seen a few episodes from season one, and I liked the concept, but realized that there wasn't really any way to keep it fresh for a long time.

I saw every episode of season 1 and loved it.
Only seen one episode of season 2 (it's only just arrived on TV here in Britain).

So I can't really say which I preferred...

I'd rather watch Dexter's Lab than Dexter. :/ It started fine enough, but it failed to keep my interest. The concept would be better suited for a short story than a full, multi-season series.

I loved season one, I liked season two but it wasn't as good as one, and I've never gotten a chance to watch season three. I really hope this doesn't turn into a heroes scenario.

Season 1 was a masterpiece. Can't so much for season 2, cause it hasn't started in Central America yet. I remember seeing a few episodes of season 2 before moving here, and they seemed promising.

That, but alas since I'm in Australia I haven't seen season 3 yet, but I can hope.

i am reading the books, and watching Season 3 at the same time. but supposively book 3 sucks, and season 2 sucks. but i have seen much worse. might be that the show has deus ex syndrome, the first one was so good thet the sequal would always suck in comparrison.

i just finished reading the books, the third book is pretty good, it has an odd twist to it. the books are great, can't wait for the fourth one now. for those who haven't read the books but seen the series, the books are all from Dexter's perspective and nothing else, you don't have any interaction with other characters sides when they are seen by Dexter

as for the tv series

season 1 totally awesome, as was said based on darkly dreaming dexter, mostly follows the book.

season 2 started out to being very good. however towards the end it seems they figured out they were running out of episodes and quickly tied up the ends to finish off the season. it has a couple things taken from the books but not much

season 3 very good and back to the old form of the first season but not an exact copy of it, it has only one thing from the books, well the second and third book

In New Zealand we get all American TV shows about one or two years later, if we're lucky. Our quality of television goes like this - US Show, Aussie Show, Canadian Show, NZ Show, Coronation Street.

You don't want to live here. The pretty birds aren't worth it.
