Yes, I'll be sure to request they don't make mistakes in the future. Awfully rude of them to accidentally not include their poll and force you to come into their thread. I mean, if you can't click a button in a poll, what else can you do? Not like someone could be expected to engage in conversation and intelligent dialog. I'll also make a note to tell them not to make threads if the website is going to hiccup and eat their poll--that's equally as rude of them, isn't it.

they did send me a authenticating noice but in which i clicked on "If you did not initiate this request, please click here" but this did do nothing. I am just saying there seems to be no visable email hack, I have scanned my computer and no virus were found. Also it is possible to change information without authenticating they only send notice.

That's not hacking, that's you handing your login information to someone on a silver platter.

Not necessarily. Pretty much every e-mail validation system includes one of those links, and yes, I'm talking about the actual, official ones. It's so that people who've had others' accounts linked to their email can say it isn't their's. While it is possible that this specific email was a scam (and it certainly was if it asked for a password at some point, or linked to something other than the official website), chances are it wasn't, and you certainly can't tell just because it had one of those links in it.

OT: Run a scan on your computer, change all the passwords you can, then just phone Blizzard up. I don't think there's anything else you can do at this point.

Exactly how does it make their service shitty when someone virtually gives his password to someone and then loses control of the account?

What happened is I longed onto diablo 3 found all my stuff was gone. Then after I found I was unable to long into battle.net. I then checked my emails which Blizzard Notify Me of password recovery then password change and then email. What i was saying about "initiate this request, please click here" it was sent by Blissard and only sent me to a useless Contact Support page.

The whole thing I have about continuous online DRM is the fact that every computer is CONNECTED to a network to play a single player game. In the past you didn't have worry about account hacking or someone putting virus on your computer when playing a single player game that shouldn't require a online connection to work, which is not specified when buying the game which leaves you open to getting your password stolen, at LEAST include the (supposedly secure) authenticator and make it mandatory to use it with the game

I know that online games these days have pretty good security measures in place to protect online players of MMOs BUT people still get their accounts compromised, no security is perfect and single players games (and gamers) should NEVER be subjected to this!

If a MMO player was told that the server is down they will be unhappy about it but will acknowledge that you need the server to WORK in order to play the game since its 'online only'

While a single player gamer who just realized that the server is down and can't play the game will ask themselves "I already bought the game, online is not needed to play so WHY cant I play if the server is down!?"

Auction house feels like the excuse to justify binding you to continuous online connection but it should be only necessary whenever you DECIDE to go to the auction house (or check a friend etc) and not all the time you play. I feel sorry for people who get connection dropouts at random, not everyone have great internet, probably the MAIN reason some people stick to single player games rather than play MMO's in the first place....

I've never had to do it but my Step-Dad has and it's a pretty simple system really...
