Finally, after a dozen years, Diablo III is coming out. In just three weeks or so.

Do you yet know what you will do when you get your hands on the complete product on 15th May or later?
What character will you pick? Which gender?
Will you play only single-player? Multiplayer? Co-op with a friend?
Will you play hardcore mode as soon as you can?

Demon Hunter. Out of all the characters I tried he's definitely one of my favorites, what with his Dual Resource mechanics and ability to dual-wield crossbows (also Rapid Fire) though Witch Doctor is also pretty fun to play simply due to how hilarious most of his abilities are (one of his basic attacks is "Throw a Jar of Spiders at my Enemy" and he can shoot FLAMING BATS at people.)

Just to be clear I didn't try the beta but I did read that beta result topic.

Anyway depending on how many characters we are given on the final version, I intend to make a Monk and Witch Doctor as my main characters (if there are enough or plenty of slots than I will make one of each classes). They're all going to be male since I'm not the type to play the oppersite gender.
Also since my only reason to buy the game is from my mate sake I will mostly be playing co-op with him. I will play some single player whenever he's not online or can't play due to his busy work.

In Diablo II, my favorite was Barbarian, but Amazon (quite close to the Demon hunter, as I see it) was a very close second.

I played the beta through with all the classes and Witch Doctor was certainly the most interesting one. Especially the skills and the whole peculiarity of off-hand doll, masks and so on. Before the latest big patch, it seemed to be the most over-powered too, but now they've evened it out, which is good. The only problem I have with Witch Doctor is the terribly hunched back, which I find a bit off-putting. The accent isn't my favorite either, but otherwise an interesting class.

In the beta you were allowed 9 (I think?) different characters, and I'd expect at least that for the release version. Certainly enough room for one of each class at the very least.

I do the same too, picking basically always male character (if given the choice). It's just so much easier to relate and kind of a no-brainer.

Although my main is going to be a Demon Hunter, I tried all 5 classes in Beta, and I absolutely liked the Witch Doctor, I think I'll play him as a Hardcore character.

Missed out on Betamaxed by a fraction of a level on the last character. I had a good 30 minutes left but the server wouldn't let me log back in after I reset the story for what would have been the last time >_<

Anyway, I had a good try of all the classes obviously, and I was very surprised to find that I liked them all. I could see myself playing any of those come release. My favourite was Monk, but only by a whisker. Wizard and Demon Hunter were also very fun to play. But still Witch Doctor and Barbarian had their own little charms and I would have no problems playing either as a main if I was so forced. I thought I would hate the Witch Doctor, but it's lots of fun.

I was looking forward to it but after all the "new" stuff I've seen, I'm not getting it anymore.

I was all ready to hop right into a Barbarian again too but not anymore.

I'll be grabbing Torchlight 2 instead though. I want to mess with that Engineer.

Witch Doctor. It was my instant go-to when the class was revealed, since it was obviously the closest thing we were gonna get to a necromancer. :p

Got one up to lvl11 or 12, and loved the zombie dogs, spider jar and bats... got the explodie toads, but wasn't able to really field-test them. >.>

I'll end up doing co-op with two friends who are getting the game. Having never played a Diablo game, I have no clue what will interest me.

I really liked everything new and what they've changed.

Bought Torchlight couple years ago when it was on sale on Steam. Loving the Diablo II -gameplay it was supposed to be a sure hit, but after trying it for an hour, it turned out to be a complete disappointment I found no fun nor interest playing.

Titan Quest was, and is, brilliant though. With the long wait it really served as Diablo III, or II½ at least, since there was no idea if the real Diablo III was even coming out. It has a great system of choosing and mixing two of any of the available (9-11?) classes, so you can make a fire elemental rogue, a cold elemental hunter, a dreamforce warrior, a necromancer defender, or anything like that. Not to even mention the neat way of mixing lots of different mythologies in order so things keep varying.

You can play any class as either gender. Trailers and such seem to have only either one, the more easily associable or something, like male Barbarian and female Demon Hunter. But it's freedom of choice in the game and judging by the beta, all the characters seem well thought through, gender-wise as well.

you're right. blueberries 'are' fascinating. So many questions fill my head when I think of them. why are they blue? where do they come from? are they used to make blue hats? Are they of human or alien origin? no one knows.

On an unrelated note, I thought the barbarian was particularly fun. All the other classes manage things and have limitations. the barbarian just runs up and chops everyone's faces off.

I haven't played the beta so don't know what i'll be playing as when I get the game.

I avoid beta's like the plague now. I've been in many over the years and when I end up getting the game i'm bored of it after the first month or so.

I didn't have too much time to play the free beta this weekend, but I did manage to beat it with a Wizard, and I have to say, I really liked kiting bosses with Magic Missile + Frost Ray(or w/e it's called) and not getting hit at all, so I'm probably gonna do that in the full game.

Barbarian. Was my favorite class by far in D2, still my fave in the beta. I've always been partial to playing door-kickers, just running right in there and tearing the monsters' faces off. Who needs fancy moves when you're a seven-foot juggernaut of muscle? Go ahead and hit me, it just makes me stronger!

After that probably Wizard for contrast.

When the beta opened up last weekend I got a taste of everything except the Witch Doctor. Could not get my head around the Demon Hunter, his play style is counterintuitive. Which is funny, since I liked Amazon and Assassin.

I'll most likely play through with all of them. I'll probably start with the barbarian due to easy of use and move on to the others after a have a good feel for the game.

I have been waiting for this since I was seven. That is literally more than half of my life.
So naturally it comes out the day before my big-ass important exams start ¬_¬

* Monk first, male. I played them all through the Beta and the Monk was by far my favourite.
* I'll play single-player or with friends, but not online until I've had it for a while. Strangers scare me.
* I'll play hardcore eventually... but that is the key word.

Also, who seriously came onto a Diablo 3 thread just to say they don't like it?
